same here.. it actually lags on every game. even subway surf. its not smooth as my nexus 7 is. maybe i should update firmware?

DO NOT emulate ur device as a nexus 7 otherwise, whatever games that u d/l, the graphics will be reverted to a tegra 2. instead make it a galaxy note 10.1 or a galaxy s 2 etc.. those chips have mali 400 which is the same as our tablet.

Games lagged when i 'nexus 7'-ed my device.

I'm just wondering whether you have done any battery intensive tests?
Eg, looping movie playback @ 50%/75%/100% brightness wifi on?

Nope but it sounds like you need to calibrate your battery
