OK, I checked again. It is definitely exactly the way I typed it. It is 87f3, not 8713. The chinese pull these types of shenanigans all the time, making copies of copies & changing parts without saying anything. We shouldn't expect any help from them. Anyway, I'm gonna ADB pull the entire system when I get a chance. If there's anything you'd need, please let me know. I have a free mediafire account that allows up to 50GB of storage at a time.

Well I really hope the 3.0.8-gcda8713-dirty and 3.0.8-gcda87f3-dirty doesn't mean there are 3 different versions of the batch 3 crystals

Other people besides 3ndymion with that kernel please verify that you typed it correctly and it's a 1 and not an f like 3ndymion.

I have all the files I need from that version but if someone with the 3.0.8-g710665b-dirty version of the batch 3 can pull all the files and link me to it, that would be helpful so that I can start trying to figure out if they changed anything. Also, if anyone with with the 3.0.8-g710665b-dirty version has installed other ROM's and noticed that anything doesn't work, like the g-sensor, wifi or camera, please post here so I can start narrowing things down.

I did it in adb shell instead. It's already su by default.

So, apparently the Batch 3 Crystals with 3.0.8-g710665b-dirty kernel could use custom ROM, with issues on some users.

BTW, mine has 3.0.8-g710665b-dirty kernel

Going to install CM 10.1 to prove that the 3.0.8-g710665b-dirty kernel is nearly brick-free

UPDATE: I just installed CM 10.1 with batch 2 compability pack and everything runs well.

I'm starting to wonder if the 3.0.8-gcda8713-dirty kernel Crystal's are knock-offs or if Ainol just threw together old left over parts so they could reach demand.

I still haven't gotten a completely good sense of it, but I think if you flash CM10/CM10.1 it's not fully functional. It looks like maybe the g-sensor and camera will not work.

First most helpful thing would be posting the build date, firmware version and kernel number. The more data the better. Other than that, it's just a testing game for me now because I have all the files.
