Does Ipad "covers", cases fit? anyone tried?
I bought this: http://amzn.com/B00ATLKQHW
and it works pretty well. It doesn't feel
like it's in super-securely, and the corners of the case stick out a bit around the device (I guess a real iPad has slightly less-rounded corners), but it's never fallen out or given me any real trouble. All the ports and buttons are nicely available. It works for my purposes, although it's a little shaky propped up in portrait.
I also tried this: http://amzn.com/B007VLKK92
but I had to return it. I could force the F9X into the inner sleeve but it was a real job, and then when it was closed in it blocked access to some of the ports. A shame, because I really liked the microfiber outer case.
Based on that, I'd say that loose-fitting (neoprene, maybe?) iPad sleeves would probably be OK, but tight leather or other wraps might not. The hard snap-in shells will probably work unless the upper cover is too snug (since the F9X is I believe about 15% thicker than a real iPad). If there's any difference, you might be better off with an old iPad 3 or maybe even iPad 1 option since they were a bit thicker as well.
