Unsure of what firmware the N10 deluxe uses?
242? W2 screen?

Hi, it seems to me you haven't flashed the right firmware for your tablet. Be aware that for Sanei N10 Deluxe, you have two types of firmware:

1. For W1 Screens (fw 0242.rar) http://www.szsanei.com/support_down.asp?id=927
2. For W2 Screens (fw 0244.rar) http://www.szsanei.com/support_down.asp?id=928

The brightness problem you have suggests that. Check what happens when flashing W1 firmware to a W2 screen:

W2 Screen Sanei N10 tablets are said to come with firmware 0230.rar from factory. The other possibility is to open the back cover and verify which type of screen you have.

I own the same tablet (Sanei N10 Deluxe W1 screen) flashed with firmware 0242.rar (latest 4.0.4), rooted with Tasselhof script and it's working fine for now. Battery life watching videos, movies and gaming lasts for 6~8 continuos hours. If idle (sleep), then battery life is superb, I get more than 3~5 days. Battery calibration WON'T do you any good. Sometimes, battery drains are caused by buggy applications. I suggest you first try measuring your battery life WITHOUT any external application.

As for you wifi issue, this tablet is not the best. However, there's been a slight improvement in the latest 4.0.4 firmware.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Thanks for those links!

I am having issues too - also why I joined this forum. My Sanei N10 had become quite a dog since I received it. I have installed many apps through google play - but would give up many of them for this tab to run properly...

The 4.04 upgrade may be my solution...
