Tried to call for customer support for the firmware update and the representative on the phone advised me as of October pandigital has been liquidated. Has any one else ran into this?

Yes. They were bought out. Unless something has changed, the new company will be using the Pandigital name but it is unlikely old products will be supported.

Update:
I have sent an email to Marissa Jabczenski asking for a status update to benefit this community. Here is what I sent:

Hello, my name is Joseph Pruitt. I am an active member of the slatedroid.com community.

I am curious to know about Pandigital's future under Sunglow. Some of the basic questions are as follows:
Will Sunglow continue to support products imported from Tatung Company?
If so, will development continue on these devices?
Will Sunglow be directly responsible for manufacturing and development or will they just be an importer?
Will Sunglow respect the GPL and provide source code for Pandigital products?
When can we expect the Pandigital site to be updated and new products introduced?
Thank you in advance for your time and response.

I will post an update should I get a response.

Yes, this is old news... this is a forum and reading around is the norm in this type of environment on the Internet  ... I feel like a broken record repeating these links for people who don't look, but understand why you would only be reading around in the wpdn forum.

started here in October: http://www.slatedroi...pandigital-rip/
and email confirmation here: http://www.slatedroi...-to-pandigital/

There are other references, but methinks the two topics can confirm the answer to your question. Oh, and I have moved this topic from the wpdn fw/development sub-forum to the wpdn general discussion where it belongs.

Good luck and happy reading. :drinks:
