Ainol Novo 7 Legend Discussion

I keep getting error at 15% in LiveSuite while upgrading to JB. My Tablet Serial number is NOVO7LEGEND121108G02###. LiveSuite error says "novo 7 legend Upgrade fails : 0x163 ÉÕдʧ°Ü3" and I have to then revert back to 4.0.4 with all of the factory default problems.
I downloaded the 4.1 firmware from http://www.oketuf.co...d4.1.1-1102.zip and after extracting its size is around 484 MB and MD5 is c71eb81654494f4da8a93568f9d61fa7
Can anyone verify if the downloaded image is correct? Does anyone have any alternate links with faster speeds or post the md5 of the firmware you have installed successfully.
Thanks in advance.

Your error is that the file and your tablet dnt match.
So your file is dammage try to download again and dnt use any downloader accelerator in your pc or cellphone coz it will dammage the file. If you download from pc use internet explorer or firefox or if you use your cellphone use dolphin browser.
Here the ss of the correct seize when you extracted it:

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have started downloading again using Firefox will let you know once its complete. Meanwhile if possible can you post MD5 for your image. When I extract the zip in Windows 8 its size is 484,719 KB.
Update: I just downloaded the JB image for the third time. I have already used IE, Firefox and Chrome and all of the extracted images have same size and MD5 which suggests my downloads should be correct. And unfortunately all of the images gives me 0x163 error in LiveSuite. This makes me believe this image might not be compatible with my tab and now have to witch back to ICS. Can someone post a link to a mirror with better speed or MD5 just to confirm my finding.
Also can any one post instruction to root the ICS image so that I can resolve the reset on reboot and 0 internal storage issue. So far I have tried below
A) Crystal Root - I am unable to boot the 4.0.4 tablet in recovery. I have tried Power & Volume- and Power & volume+ but it doesn't work. Also I have tried adb reboot recovery, tablet does a reboot but comes in to normal mode only.
Can anybody suggest any workaround to make the Tablet operational in 4.0.4.
Thanks

Hi friend where i can find my md5 coz when i extract my zip i have only 1 file.
Cam you tell me what version of your firmware ics 4.0.4 you got? I mean if its from phoenix card or from the site web that you downloaded jelly bean? Coz that i know Phoenix card had wrong place in busy box.
I will try to remember where i find to fix it but you need to install app like rootexplorer to solve it... if you cant install rootexplorer i will try to make flashable zip that it will install in your system not in sdcard.
Its my first time that i work in tablet and that i know the partition format is different from my cellphone sgy or you can push rootexplorer in system/app via adb shell

Thanks again. To check MD5 of any file on android you can download an app https://play.google....m.fab.md5&hl=en or if the file is on your computer there are many portable MD5 checker tools
I got the ICS firmware from the same http://www.futeko.com/ site Link: http://www.oketuf.co...Legend-1030.rar .
My tab currently is in a soft brick state as I tried to install JB again after downloading and now ICS is also failing at 3%. Let me again flash ICS with a different USB port/cable or a different machine. I will try to push rootexplorer through adb.
Thanks.

Great. Anxiously waiting for the info. Currently I can't root my 4.0.4 tab because after I push the necessary files using adb I have to do a reboot which again resets the system and entire work is gone.
Hope I could somehow get JB working on my tab.

mv /system/xbin/busybox /system/bin
reboot
That should do it.

Hi
I had already tried this but as the tab is not rooted there is no busybox installed on the system. I get following error while executing the command
"failed on '/system/xbin/busybox' - No such file or directory"
I will wait for the CWM recovery so that I can apply the Crystal Root method to root the tablet and solve the reset on reboot issue.
Thanks.

You can use "cat /proc/partitions" command in a adb shell or terminal on the tablet.
I am planning to unpack the 4.0.4 img and verify the partition scheme and repack it to resolve the 0 internal storage issue, because i my case after I flash the fresh 4.0.4 image I donot have busybox in xbin or sbin folder hence I am unable to resolve the 0 internal storage issue. And may be this is also the reason for reset on reboot issue.
