If you appreciate my work and would like to support me with a small donation you can click on button.
If every happy user of this rom would just donate a couple per month I could invest more time in all these Android projects, it'd cost you just like one coffee per month.

* Crystal (old batch) 1.2
* Crystal (new batch) 1.2
* Crystal (third batch**) 1.3 (Use this TWRP recovery)
* Crystal (third batch** "green camera") 1.3 (Use this TWRP recovery)

If you're running AOKP you'll have to flash this additional zip (after the compatibility one and only if you're not using the EXT4 / MultiUser version)

* Crystal (1st batch) MultiUser / EXT4 2.0.1
* Crystal (2nd batch) MultiUser / EXT4 2.0.1

For instructions please refer to the main CM10.1 thread or AOKP thread

** Third batch crystal came with a different bootloader and are sold with a stock rom dated 1212 (12th of december), anyway just to be sure to identify correctly your crystal follow these instructions from flsuperstore

Compatibility zips for PA

Crystal 1st batch - v1.2
Crystal 2nd batch - v1.2
Crystal 3rd batch - v1.3
Crystal 3rd batch "green camera" - v1.3

Crystal (1st batch) MultiUser / EXT4 v2.0.1
Crystal (2nd batch) MultiUser / EXT4 v2.0.1

For instructions please refer to the main PA thread

for old batch only...

rc0

for download links and instruction follow the main thread (note that this comp zip is for the single user version)

try it and report if wifi works and if gsensor responds correctly, it may need some changes in the sensors library
Thanks was just testing out without patch.
on previous attempt. I couldnt install from zip or internal. I got it to flash by using the e3 recovery. Couldnt flash gapps in e3 so had to sign it myself. But with or without gapps it booted into saying phone stopped working...couldnt pass it.

I just flashed back to stock using ainols update method. Going to try again without formating system to see it makes a difference.

UPDATE1: YUP....that cwm keeps giving me error "E: Can't mount /sdcard/" /emmc/ aswell
UPDATE2: Tried a different CWM, it works but only internal storage.....cant do sd card
UPDATE3: Used internal storage. flashed rom, gapps, then comp patch.Booted fine.

First off i got the rom and gapps off here
Camera app is missing no. Tried to add it manually without sucess. 3rd party apps work.
Wifi broken. Stuck on "turning wifi on..." button moves back to off after pressing it.
G-sensor works but slowly.

Hello Christian Troy! Thank you for your hard work!
I tried this compatibility and I had some issues in my tablet.
1. Keyboard does not work.
2. I have problem in display system (little broken colors after sleep mode)
This problem is in stock ROM 0928 and CM10+1.03 but it isn't in CM10+1.7 compatibility and stock ROM 1119.

Wi-fi is power on but I can't check full work of Wi-fi right now.

Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks Troy for this compatibility. Wifi works fine and keyboard does not hang. Tested 1080p movies doing great. Camera working using camera launcher. SDcards are detected by the system and PC. The problems encountered are that the gui is slow and the rotation response is slow and although I'm on standby mode, the battery drain is there. When charging, and leave it charging for a long time, I can't wake up the crystal from deep sleep, needed to force it to shutdown and turn it on again.

Over all...works fine for me...I'm using first batch of Crystal.

Thanks Troy.

Thanks, CT. You did not forget the Crystal- super.
Wifi is working great. I do not see any drain - but I deactivate Wifi when not needed.
I do not use BT.
And I do not see big performance issues - it is kind of slower compared to CM10, but completely sufficient.
You let us participate in the next round of CM - that is great.
One personal flavor: I liked the CM10 GUI more but if this is the development path, we should follow instead of discussing and being cut from future features. Just my 2 cents.

The Mali commit has been merged into upstream. You may want to update BoardConfig and see if 4.2 is smooth now.
it looks like i still have to start the sw vsync thread (because of the lack of it)

W/SurfaceFlinger( 2371): Timed out waiting for hw vsync; faking it
but here you find a test flashable zip... it seems smoother but my aurora2 was already smoother than the fire (but can't test it on the fire it now).

try on the hero that is similar to fire and report back

While testing the Comp zips can we all post our build numbers? I'm guessing "rc1" with the "wifi thing" is for the batch 1 "legacy" Crystal's like mine? If so, I'll give it a shot over the weekend. If you don't mind me asking, what do you need to add to the comp zip to get it to work with the "legacy" Crystal's and would you be willing to post those files/scripts/whatever?

Thanks for all your hard work Christian!

The comp zip is for the older I don't think I can make g sensor work with the newer. If it works ok without any tweak for the orientation it's good otherwise my hands will be tied.

I can confirm that wifi works with the rc1 comp zip on the 121008 batch Crystal. There is a ghosting effect on any widgets on the desktop when the nav bar is toggled or a after closing a full screen app. Slightly lower AnTuTu scores at 7661 also.

Also the link in your first post does not go to the CM 10.1 thread.

hello christian. good day i've been using soulgem for quite a while now (very stable and great rom). Anyway just want to try your custom rom (want to try something new). Just want to know what is the (md5sum)for? Do I need to flash this? Please correct my process if I am wrong.
1.Unrar the content of this (CWM v5.5.0.4 20121026) archive and put it in the root of a MicroSD.
2.Factory reset total wipe
3.flash
-cm-10.1-20121215-UNOFFICIAL-elf2.zip
-gapps-jb-201212-signed-ubifs.zip
-crystal_oldbatch-cm10.1-compatibility-1.0.zip
4.reboot.
Is this correct?

"New" batch compatibility zip rc0 (there may be g sensor problems, just try it and report)

#16 ·
Tested. Found following bugs:
1. G-sensor works, but screen rotates 90 degrees wrong direction (clockwise). In landscape its portrait and portrait it's landscape.
2. Camera is reversed. Upside down in portrait and wrongway mirrored in landscape. Same as in cm10 + new batch comp 1.1

Everything else seems to be working.

#14 ·
Correct. Md5 sum is a checksum to verify integrity of the downloaded file.

#17 ·
I can't fix the orientation without source code for camera hal library.
You can try to change the numbers in build.prop bma250.gsensorposition and the other one to any value from 0 to 7 (reboot after every change) and see if any of the values give you a working g sensor.
Remove the ro.gsensor.amlhack entry if you do these trials

#19 ·
Great I'll do a newer comp zip tonight that sets the correct values

just flashed your rom.. great work!! for some reason cpu1 is always online even after sleep. over 2hrs of heavy use ate less 50% of the bat.. not bad. sensor is good. the only problem is the camera.. tried camera for nexus.. didnt work. forced close. now using ics camera for temp solution.. hope i could find something similar to the stock camera.. stock camera has good compatibility with the hw.

Added new batch comp zip to the OP (for MU version visit the "official" thread)

Tried that, tried different SD-cards, tried internal SD-card, tried it all...

Everything seems to install without problem, but when I restart the device, it doesn't boot beyond the Ainol Crystal logo. After that it reboots to recovery.

I also tried the earlier version 2012-12-08, and the only difference is that it freezes at the Ainol Crystal logo without rebooting to recovery.
