Also called; F900, N900, MaPan MX913, Zeepad9XN..... but there all the same tablet.

So it doesn’t matter which meaningless set of letters/numbers precede “A13 9inch Allwinner” you’re buying the same device, and its surprisingly good.

The tablet feels a bit cheap, but it is cheap; it feels like an all-purpose screen sold to businesses and commercial installers rather than a personal high-street android device. But if you’re not too bothered about chrome surrounds and aluminium back casing then the A13 will most likely impress from here on out.

The hardware is more than capable of running ICS and the low-res screen and for games or simple web browsing its perfect.

Check out the video of us messing around with it – you’ll notice it’s a bit temperamental and I’ve deliberately left these glitches in the video so you know not to expect an iPad for your £75 ($120).

If you’re not bothered about aesthetics of either the tablet or the screen then you’ll have very little else to complain about. The app compatibility is very good with everything working as normal.

It also fares very well against some of the other branded small tablets from China, Pipo S1, Cube U9GT4 etc. as the screen rotation is fine and often defaults to the most appropriate orientation for what you’re doing.

This is real budget tablet-computing but it rarely feels that way and rather serves to highlight that a vast % of the money you pay for a apple/Samsung is for the little sticker on the back.
