The link above has the January stock rom from the yuandou site that I uploaded
Have you contacted your vendor?
My flash went well with this ROM

Just received N80IPS. some comments

- well built, solid
- managed to root it with zhuodaishi
- the portion of the screen below the camera area has a streak of yellowish display. especially when white background is viewed (anyone has same problem)?
- battery readings is a erratic. eg, charge to 100%, after a few mins standby, it drops to 70 ish, then it drops slower. mine doesn't seem to deep sleep properly. (anyone has same issue)

I also used Zhoudashi to root mine after I first got it. After a few weeks, it started acting crazy, rebooting, battery indicating weird, freezing, etc. Reflashed original rom, been running fine for about a month now, no freezes, no problems. No display problems like you describe on my screen.

Mine also started working awkwardly after rooting...
Reset to factory settings and all problems were gone!
Two problems that were really bothering me were the noticeably lower battery and performance...

Hi,

There is a working root that wont make the device act weird?
There is a custom ROM for this tablet?

Thanks

No custom rom as far as I know. I used zhoudashi to root mine, which eventually started acting up. There's probably other root methods for rk3066 you could try.

So now your device is not rooted? there is a need for rooting anyway?

btw, does it come with a screen protector?

Thanks

Not rooted and running well. Actually came with a screen protector installed and like 4 extras. Not having root will mean certain programs can't run, like Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, etc. But the vast majority of apps will run.

My rooted N80 has worked fine for the last few months aside from the screen flicker when brightness is on low and battery is below 20%. Yesterday, my power button started acting up. I now have to press really hard on it to make it turn on/off... anyone else? Any dis-assembly tips so I can open it up and take a look?

Hi,

Just got my n80ips (with January firmware) and from first impression it seems pretty good, nice screen, touch and speed.

I've got some questions, because i'm new to android:
- Do i need to install any app killer application to close background applications or its done automatically?
- Any recommended application for tablets?
- app for playing mkv files?

I've also noticed that the battery charging was fast until 60% and then the rate was slower until 100%, anyone else experienced that too?
Can i change the charger to another 5V charger?

Thanks!

Never opened mine, but there's a few screws under the flap. Usually a guitar pick works to crack tablets open, you should watch some videos of other tablets getting opened first.

Hi,

I've learned how to modify firmwares and I've made a rooted rom for the stock firmware: check it out: http://www.slatedroi...rnal-app-space/

Just ordered this tablet!

One question: Can it be charged by USB? e.g can I use a powerbank to charge this tablet?

If you have the right cable (2.5mm) and your powerbank can output 2A, you can charge it. If that is what you meant.

I know it is an old question but I was also curious before buying it.

I have rooted the dual core and all seems fine for the past few months. What are the problems you are facing when rooted?

I have used the standard method, dabashi or something like that..

Hi.
My n80ips is nice. I have a couple of issues to check with others.
1. My battery show as 7.000mV on every app I download. Would you check to see how it is on yours pls?
My battery life is around 2 hours when on line so it's possible its miscalibrated or misc configured. The tab uses a 5v charger and charges in 1.5hrs. Sounds strange doesn't it?
2. How can I prove that the wlan is n capable? WiFi Manager app show 2.4ghz signal from my wireless N Netgear router
Any thoughts? P.S. my wireless range is lousy

Thanks
