it is for sanei n10

http://www.szsanei.c...down.asp?id=927

very slow download, but after 24h of dowloading i install it and it's NOT A BETA version !!! now i will test to see if it's faster, and if the web browsing is still lagging.

after some minutes of using the new firmware :

ok web browsing is GREAT now, no lag with stock browser.

and stystem look more stable and responsive.

i will try now to root the tablet

I have try lot of roms, for me this one is the best cause it's fast and has all the functions (bluetotooth and camera work good, for exemple i have a bluetooth audio haedset with previous version remote control didn't work, now it work great, i can go to next or previous track, pause and play).

I want Sanei N10 deluxe with version 4.04, not 4.04 beta. I learned from surfing the net that it can be supported from on-line official firmware but it is not working now.

Could anyone shares when Sanei company will launch the firmware for on-line support?

And what about W2 display devices :( I found only one firmware, which is the stock one, preinstalled in brand new Sanei N10 Deluxe (single core)

I have seen this page. I do not understand Chinese but I have tried with Google translate. With this, I was able to read a red Warning about two kind of display W1 and W2. THis last file is for W1 display. I have no idea what does it mean. What version I have. How can I find it? (Google has not been my friend). I have a Sanei N10 deluxe A10 (single core) with a dispaly resolution of 1280x800.

They now proposes the two versions W1 and W2. But I have still no idea which one I have to take. Anyone? ParchiT, you seem to know what W2 if you read this, can you explain?

Simply, we have 2 kinds of the same device: first with W1 screen, which have better official and unofficial support, i.e. CM10/9 ROM, many kinds of sanei/ampe firmware...; second device has W2 screen, which is pain in the *arse for users, because for now, we have only 1 (one!) compatible firmware, which is official (0230). From my experience, W2 display comes with sanei N10 DELUXE version (which I own).
with W2 display every attempt of changing ROM, build.prop (i.e. from Tasselhoff) ends with diplay problems (dark, lack of vivid colours, upside down touch response...)

EDIT: W2 ver.: it's still possible to root and install CWM recovery mod

They now propose a new version 0244.rar for W2 screen but I do not know if it is 4.04 or still 4.0.3 (Still charging it after ~ 20 hours, this only chjarges at ~ 5 Kb/sec). I have tried to translate the Chinese instruction with Google translate and they do mention display problem if we mistake the W1 and W2 versions.

I have just done the upgrade with the 0244.rar (for W2 screen) ( this link [驱动下载] 尚伊N10_W2屏(乐投)优化电源干扰软件 下载 ). The upgrade process is easy, you just click on LiveSuitPack_version_1.09_20120301.exe , then on LiveSuit.exe (that will be extracted to the Livesuit folder), and you can choose English and be guided from there. The SaneiN10 is at version 4.0.4 after the upgrade. Everything seems to work fine, but I have not had the time to do a lot of testing. But definitively, no display problems and the market seems functional.

Do you have Chrome available in Play Store?
PS. Please, write comments about this firmware in that post: http://www.slatedroi...for-w2-display/

It's confusing to me what W1 and W2 screen means. I have had my Sanei N10 since end of May and the SW build is "crane_anpei101sy-user-r4.0.3.4.0.1111" according to the build.prop file.
Can anybody tell which type of screen I might have?

According to http://androidforum....t29818-300.html if you have crane_anpei101sy-r4.0.1120 , then you have a W2 screen, if not W1. So I would say you have W1. Anyway this devices cannot really be bricked, you can always reflash another ROM. So flash the W1 firmware and if you have display problems, flash the W1 screen.
