sorry you N70HD owners are having a hard time. i don't know what they have changed within the Firmware. for us N70 and N70S Users it's as simple as editing the Build.prop Values :pardon:

beyond the 1019 firmware from yuandao, the two new firmwares 1026 and 1108 doesn't show much apps in google play store.

but the 1019 firmware looks weird to me, doesn't go fullscreen for most of the apps.

Build.prop does not work for me, neither do play store with checking country or checking license removed.
Firmware from Oct. 19th seems the best for the play store compatibility.
After flashing firmware from Nov. 8th it can't be downgraded back to firmware from Oct. 19th. And I tried in all manners of ways, with upgrade, with restore, with resetting IDB, without resetting the IDB.
Good thing the final owner, my father, cares next to nothing about games and firmware upgrades for the tablet.

Anybody Can help me chose between N70HD and onda 712 ?

N70 has better Battery but in firmware support i doubt!

in the other hand Ond 712 HAS 16gb rom ,good design and better firmware support but it has 3000mah battery

I fear buying N70Hd made troubles in update...

I appreciate any help and idea.tnx

Strange, I have 26 firmware and almost all of the gameloft games showed up.
Here's what I tried, Market Enabler set to T-Mobile USA, changing build prop to t-mobile GS3. I also use the JB script and select the enable market access function.
Have you guys try the JB script and clicking on the option to enable market access?

that script (Enable Full Market Option) just replaces some valuess within the build.prop File. i would only use that option case editing the File doesn't work.

this is strange though. for me, no matter WHAT Firmware i installed i have been always success with editing the File and have Full Market

i tried firmwares as follows:

1007, 1019 - most if not all apps, games show up like what i expect. but strangely enough, the whole thing (launcher, apps) make full use of the screen, so i discarded using these firmwares.
1026, 1108 - very little apps/games show up, but other than that, the tablet works just as it should be.

same situation with gaelex.

i tried all the build prop values posted before and the one posted by max1001 a couple of posts up this page, still doesn't work.

there must be something sinister blocking it.

By downloading again the Oct. 19th firmware from Yuandao I managed to revert to that version, downgrade went smoothly. I have contacted pandawill about the firmware issues, they promised to let Yuandao know about it.
I can wait, it's only an annoying issue for me, as I am not the final user. My father will care little about firmware and games and apps updating from the market.
For now I am leaving the N70HD with the Oct. 19th firmware.

For the guys saying it's working with build.prop edits, I think you may have the N70 version, we are talking here about the N70HD model. No matter what firmware I put after the Oct. 19th one, the GPS icon disappears in the power widget and so does the compatibility in play store.

I have N70HD and I am still trying to figure out why I am the only one with working play store. It's very strange indeed. I did do a factory reset at one point but I don't see how that help.

o ok. why not try

ro.product.model=nexus 7
ro.product.brand=Google
ro.product.name=nexus 7
ro.product.device=nexus 7
ro.product.manufacturer=Asus
ro.build.product=nexus 7

and Fingerprints as

ro.build.fingerprint=google/nexus 7/nexus 7:4.1.1/JRO03D/402395:user/release-keys

I also tried firmware update to newer version using the "upgrade" in rkbatchtool, with the same result: no more GPS icon in power widget, no more app and game compatibility.
Really there must be something that got screwed when they made the new firmwares and the location reporting. Here is another VERY strange issue:
Oct. 19th firmware, Beautiful Widgets has no idea where I am, I have to tell it which city manually. Newer firmware Oct. 26th, Nov. 8th etc., Beautiful Widgets finds out automatically where I am and updates weather and everything by itself.

Because Nexus 7 uses Tegra 3 and galax s3 uses mali 400. It's way better to fake S3 than N7 if you want the game to actually work.

i trying to change brand,model and fingerprint also unable to work.

Use jb script option to enable full market and it works. But the screen is wrongly rotated.

I have changed the rotation profile in the buildprop of the JB script and now, all is running fine.

N70HD Jb script

** Pls take note that the dpi will be changed to 160 instead of the default 200. I actually love this dpi more..a more truly tablet layout.

Run JB script Bat >> Select enable full market >> select AZ mode >> Reboot device after it successfully applied.
After reboot, go to Settings >> App >> Google play store...clear cache/data.
Settings >> Accounts >> select google & yr account >> click on top right to remove account

Relaunch play store and login. :)
