how did u remove the chinese apps? did u root it? did u flash any custom rom like TNT or decontaminate?
do give a feed back if 3G works or not once u get the sim.

i tested the speed on speed test.net and the best i could get was 60kbps download and 40kbps upload..these are 2G/edge speeds is it not? so am not sure if this is a service provider issue or a tablet issue..
also the tablet does not show the name of the network in the settings panel..i have to go under the data usage and more..and then see that it is connected..
any idea what will the tablet use if both sim network modem is on and another wifi network is connected simultaneously?

on switching 3g then wifi(both)..it latches on to wifi..
motto i think the internal 3g model is already set to WCDMA..

I was thinking of updating the firmware but it already has the latest "DS975-eng 4.1.1 JRO03H 20120924.144826" as mentioned here http://www.slatedroi...2-driver-issue/
Is there a way we can update the firmware of the 3G Modem? I think it's the MKT2 as shown in the baseband.

Have you tried PPP Widget ? I understand some people use it to get non-supported 3g dongles to work, perhaps it has that option for wcdma only.
