P88 quad Antutu 2.9.4 Benchmark
Total score: 12836
http://www.gizmochin...ore-than-12000/

That is with the P88 prototype. P88 quad will likely get released to the public in about 1.5 months.

Just to note, Ramos W30 (quad Exynos 4412) reached somewhere around 12,500. RK3066 like U30GT get somewhere around 8250 with Antutu 2.9.4.

Also, P88 quad very likely comes with retina display (very high resolution) and would have taken somewhat of a hit on the GPU tests but still managed to get a very high overall score.

*MINIX NEO X5 (RK3066) - OK. Not fun because uses mouse cursor.
*YUANDAO N80 DUAL (RK3066) - Very good
*CUBE U30GT (RK3066)- Defective; buttons broke in 2-3 weeks; Bad quality control!!! I will never buy a Cube again!!! - Very good while working
*WOPAD I7 (RK2918)- About OK. Sluggish because has weaker ARM chip (RK2918) & less RAM (512 MB).

Isnt it also built on 28nm technology rather than rk3066 40nm? Should make it a lot cooler and battery efficient.

Very interesting results,
we can also learn form your link Nickos, that the P88 QC code is H4D8
(code for P88 DC is H3D7)

On that site there is also about the P98

Yep, my first order as well (two, actually - one for each of my kids). I also ordered from AliExpress (Shenzen Kimdecent) - it hasn't shipped yet, though, and I'm kind of worried... Did anyone else's actually ship out yet?

Will definitely post my analysis as soon as I get it!

P88 Quad should be out in about 4-6 weeks time.

I think people here realize they are buying the P88 Dual version and not the quad. They probably want to get an 8" tablet for Christmas either for themselves or for their kids. They prefer going with the P88 over the other 8" tablets.

P88 Dual = RK3066 ARM chip
P88 Quad = A31 ARM chip

The P88 Dual version is still a very good tablet to use!

I think, comparing my tegra3 nexus 7 with my RK3066 devices, there is not much difference, but i am curious about the the performance of the powervr SGX544 gpu
On order, nothing, and am i am finished with Chinese cpu's, i prefer my exynos devices.
Favorites, in order of use, Ramos W42, Samsung galaxy note 8 inch, Ployer Momo11 quad exynos 4412, Samsung galaxy tab 7.7, Ployer Momo8 IPS, Yuandao Window N70, BB playbook.
Sold last months, PiPo U1, Teclast P85, PiPo S2, Teclast P85HD, Cube mini U30GT, Yuandao Vido N80IPS, Ainol Novo 10 Hero ii: very bad, Ployer Momo12, Onda V812, Yuandao Vido N80 RK3188, Teclast P88, Google Nexus 7-8Gb, PiPo M8pro RK3188, Chuwi V88 RK3188.
And: You know we all became mathematicians for the same reason: we were lazy.

Yep, I agree with Nickos - people who are ordering now understand that it's dual core, I think.

Did anyone's actually ship yet? I just received a note from the company I ordered from referencing that the tablet is "constrained", and asking when I would need it by.. not a good sign. :(

I know that the tablet has a dual core cpu.It was a concious order.
Before placed the order,i chat with the seller,He ensure me that they have it in stock.
Tommorow,he will provide me the track number.
Maybe,we must open a new thread called "Teclast p88 quad core CPU"

RK3066 & Tegra3 are very even in GPU performance.

AllWinner A31 claims to have 2X GPU performance compared to Tegra3. Some are saying that is 200% better when in fact only 100%. Still, whether 100% or 200%, the GPU performance difference will be HUGE.

Rockchip RK3188 claims to have 40% better GPU performance over Tegra3.

I had wanted to get a high resolution display (ie. Retina) but not after seeing how quickly that will drain out the battery life.

Maybe this is the reason that teclast has increase the battery capacity on p88(rk3066)

Not likely since P88 Dual is still 1024x768. Very likely to compete against other 8" tablets like Yuandao's N80IPS which has 4500 mAh battery.

Why you need a comparison, if the P88 is not shipping yet?

Very few people will buy 2 tablets that are same size and different brands. ie. most people will buy 1 or 2 same screen size tablets of the same brand.

Janesh had P88 on order. He should have taken delivery yesterday or today. Janesh can give his opinion in about 2-3 days time. He needs some time to use and test it out.

The P88 Dual was shipping maybe 2 weeks back. The P88 Quad will ship in 3-5 weeks time. The P88 Dual & Quad will have the same external feel and look. Differences between them being the ARM chips and display resolutions.

*MINIX NEO X5 (RK3066) - OK. Not fun because uses mouse cursor.

Right Nickos, i think my teclast p88, has landed this evening in Leipzig in Germany, tonight to Amsterdam and tomorrow morning with delivery courier.
I have to work tomorrow morning, but i hope my wife will be at home.
