Can I just say; I read this whole post on the train from Manchester to London Last week, 2 hour 10 min journey which I normally sleep through, but this kept me awake the whole way (I'm a slow reader).
Been lazily looking for a tab for a couple of mouths and think I'll get the P88.

Hi guys,
Since yesterday my teclast p88 is stuck at the boot screen/animation. Battery was completely empty and then I put it on a usb charger (turned out to be my blackberry charger). 30 minutes later I took it off the charger and since then the tablets doesnt get past the boot screen. I can still get into recovery mode (android guy with red triangle), but nothing else.
If I connect my computer to the tablet in recovery mode then it is recognized by moborobo and drivers are being installed (ADB generic?). But moborobo is not able to connect with the device. If I start rkbatchtool it sees the tablet only in the state of being stuck in the boot screen. However, status remains purple and doesnt become green, so I can not flash. If I manually install the drivers from rockusb rkbatchtool Windows reports 64-bit compatibility (even though I have the 64 bit drivers). Basically I'm completely out of options and could use some help.
The only thing I can think of now to completely drain the battery to see if that helps.
Update: turned out i wasn't using rkbatchtool correctly. After you click switch you have to go to device manager (it will show an unknown device) to manually install the drivers in the rkbatchtool package. Then the button turned from purple to green and i was able to reflash.

Guys can someone pls give me step by step instructions to upgrade p88 dual core (H3D7) tablet firmware to newest 1.20 factory firmware. I have downloaded the file: [P88双核(H3D7)-Android4.1.1-V1.20-E07D.rar] from teclast.com. What exactly are the steps I have to follow for successful upgrade? Thanks.

I just bought a P88 to replace my Ainol Novo 7 Crystal. I hope I don't regret it :/ I just need a usable tab similar to the ainol but with a glass screen.
