hi folks!

on november 1st, Cube launch a "new" 8" tablet called U9GT3

yes, that's the same name as an "old" 9.7 launch on early 2011, but the new one as nothing to deal with it as it is an 8".
In fact, it is the same tablet as the U23GT but there's an IPS display, and an aluminium case
the bad news are: no HDMI, no back camera

i've just buy it on HKG, and hope to receive it asap to give you my thought about it.

I ordered it some weeks ago from Pandawill but they didn't ship it, so I ordered it from a seller on Aliexpress who offered Assurance Plus with a 48 hours guaranteed shipping time. The tracking number which he sent me didn't work and now after two weeks I received my money back because the delivery company "lost" the package.

I hope that you have more luck than I had. So far this tablet seems a bit like a myth to me. I wish that Chinese vendors would be more honest about the product availability. It would make it easier for everyone.

I got mine a couple of days ago, very pleased with it!
Only con so far is some kind of battery issue on low energy, hope it will be fixed when jellybean is released.
Someone knows when jellybean will be released? Has anyone seen any case/covers for these tablets yet?

got my u9 today, great screen, great quality of the back cover, a little dust under the cover sheet, and some minor issur (fifrefox crashing for a lot of streaming...)

i have to test it longer, but the first sight is really optimistic

So guys,
How long does it take for you to charge de battery up?

mine is about 4h of charging from 0%, and is only at 70%
do you think it's normal?

Yes I think its normal, mine takes a quite long time to charge too, it does not stop charging at 70%, does it?

My last china tablet had the same issue with battery (shuts down at around 20%), but that one got a lot better with the Jellybean upgrade.
Any news about this upgrade? Someone tried any root?

Found this tablet for 125$ and planning to buy it. But that "tiles" theme sucks so do you guys know any custom firmware?
I've read something about 97S compatibility on U9GT3 OEM thread, anyone tried?

arctablet release rooted fw without all the chinese crap... works great for me ;-)
