[Question] Show /hide status bar in ICS or JB

I would be great to have the status bar able to auto hide.

There is an app called 'Gesture Control' that should do the job.
Sadly it doesn't work on the Vi40 DC.

Some apps need full-screen to work as they should. ICS does not allow it for the moment,
and thus these apps are not using the full resolution of the screen.

Is this something that could be fixed in an custom rom?
The Vi40 DC has the home button that could be redirected to assist in an show/hide action.

I am not running on the v1.5x rom. Can upload the app?
