Well, after having som problems with system stability I figured out I would to a total firmware reinstall to see if that helped. I bought my unit a month or two ago from MeriMobiles, and what I ordered was the G9T.

To make the story short, it turns out that my tablet is actually the G9TM, even though it's engraved with G9T on the back and came in a G9T-box. The result is that because the G9TM has another screen than G9T the display just lights up and shows some funny patterns after I installed the G9T-firmware. I can tell the firmware is working except this, as the tablet "clicks" when i touch the screen.

So, to get it working again I need to install the correct firmware for the G9TM, but Gemei does not offer this on their web site. They have no contact e-mail either.... So I contacted the techhelp at MeriMobiles, and the guy there has tried for two weeks to get the firmware for me, but no luck yet.

So I thought i might ask here, if someone happen to have the firmware available, or have any other suggestions? In that case I would be very thankful! :good:

Nice surprise today, MeriMobiles had managed to get the firmware from Gemei, and everything works again! The firmware was even complete with root  If anybody else needs the firmware, just tell me!

Hi,

I have managed to resolve all the problems i faced after sleeping on it for 2 days (passively thinking of solutions). Hahah!

I restored with last firmware 20120726 version via TF card in recovery boot mode,
update from G9T_root.zip file, then Gemei G9T xmlfiles and build.prop.zip file (copy build.prop file n permissions etc)

Reboot n viola....thank you so much for ur advise!

Just received my G9TM and spotted a new firmware on the Gemei site (G9TM V2.52.002 dated 17/12/2012) - does anyone know what is new or fixed with this update? Apart from Wi-Fi issues (keeps switching between different routers) I have not had any problems so want to be sure before I install it - don't want to lose root, Google Play etc.
