do i use CM recovery or android recovery

I put the required files: fire-tp-fix.zip and uImage_recovery in my sd root but it keeps booting into android recovery is this correct?

i got touch screen failure again... this fix didnt work

i just flashed to feiyu 1031.tm then update to kangmod
normal for few minute then my touch failure

help.... this fix didt work...

any solutions?

Try to reflash feiyu 1031 without the Kang Mod and see if it's working before trying to add kangmod

yes i have done that,
i even flashed to 0930 feiyu, then apply the patch
still not working

any solutions?

Sorry to hear that. There are a few traps like being sure of your screen version and not flashing with charger connected but maybe you were just unlucky.

[Edit2] I bricked my touch again by accidentally flashing Crystal stock rom,.. and re-fixed using above fix!..

Oh boi! So many people have experienced this. I hope I won't face this and if I do; I hope the fix works! At least there's the fix avilable .

I experienced the same problem after flashing feiyu 1031 and kang mod (version A). This patch doesn't help get the touch screen working, and I've tried applying it on multiple versions of official roms.

If I use a mouse via the USB the tablet works great, just no touch input.

Hi Guys,

Good Morning.

I just got my Ainol Novo 7 Fire from Ainol-novo.com 2 weeks ago. Lastly it was working just fine until after my little boy watching movies for about 4 hours.
And after recharge the touch screen is not responding. I was able to get in the menu by using USB mouse.

I remembered that I'm using the fire firmware with .tm. So what I did was tried the fix listed above but still my touch screen is not fixed.

So please help me out guys I really need to get this fix since this is a birthday gift for my little boy.

And also I don't want it to be return to ainol-novo.com. Because I ordered this last Nov. 8 2012 and I paid express shipping but the item arrived after almost 4 weeks of waiting where it is supposed to arrive in 3 to 5 business days. It's very disappointing and now touch screen is not responding.

My advice: buy only from local sellers with real warranty. Maybe I'm extremely unlucky, but China sellers from which I was buying, started to completely ignore me after they received the money. I was little worried about touchscreen, but in my case... failed battery or voltage measuring chip. Currently my Fire is unusable and seller dont responds to mails.

Why does touch LCD of my tablet only work with "fire_4.04_by_feiyu_(1031)_qm" ROM via "LCD fix" but it does not work with other ROMs?
Is there any LCD fix which can be used with other ROMs(AOKP-CM 10)?

If it's fixed and working on Feiyu 1031 you should then be able to load your ROM of choice without affecting the touch screen but you need to be careful to follow the specific instructions for that ROM. Problems with touch screen happen when wrong version of CWM or compatibility zip flashed.

I've got a a Flame and did make a note of the screen type....tm..... but I did not realise there was a specific CWM when re-flashing CM10.1 4.2.1 ROM..........
As you have guessed I now have no touch screen.......so can experienced members confirm what the best plan of action is............
This is what I plan to do....

Re-flash flame with correct CM10.1 4.2.1 ROM and specific CWM for tm screen........
Then apply Touch Screen Fix.............

STOP PRESS..........Good news......just to let other junior members know..........all back up and running with Touch screen fix.........
History.....Purchased flame with tm screen.....then flashed official update......then messed up not using correct CWM for fire tm screen............
Re-flashed again........then applied LCD fix.......Many Thanks.....armo

I don't want to face the death touchscreen problem, so Should I update my firmware to latest 20121031.TM ? or the current firmware is fine ?

I suggest you use only "TM" software! I flashed my new fire several times with no issues.
