Hi sorry for asking a stupid question but looked everywhere and cannot find the answer, my nexus 7 is rooted if I do a factory reset from the settings will it become unrooted thanks.

How did you root it to begin with? Did you use a guide, Toolkit?

If I remember correctly, performing a factory reset will remove the SuperUser/SuperSU app. You'll require to reflash the .zip file through recovery in order to get it back or just use the toolbox again as mentioned above.
Google Nexus 7 16GB
CPU: 1.3GHz (4 Cores) → 1.6GHz (2 Cores)
