Vivante GPU? Didn't they learn anything from rk2918?

Would 2GB of ram be beneficial to these more powerful tablets? :( none of these new tablet has it.

The upcoming quad core Ramos w30 has 2gb ram and will be using Mali quad core GPU. 1280x800 is Ok with me.

Price is good, should go down over a couple of weeks too.

Wow. Looking at those prices, I am so inclined on buying one. I am currently thinking about the Novo10 Hero.

So... you guys are saying that Mali 400Mhz Dual Core is better than this new GC1000?

I do not have any knowledge about processors and graphics other than what they are meant for. :p

Also, Ainol's website lists the Quad Core Tablets with the following processor: ACT ATM7029. But in a previous post I saw that it was written CPU: Cortex A9. Aren't these 2 different things?

Thanks.

Yeah, the prices are better than I imagined. Thanks for posting them, Satmaster.
Anyway, the specifications on ainol-novo.com are a bit dodgy. The Hero doesn't have GPS, for example, according to the Ainol leaflet. The Hero II does, however.

That's what it looks like. Benchmarks will tell eventually.

The ATM7029 is the system-on-a-chip (SoC). That's a big chip that includes CPU, GPU, SD card and USB interfaces and more.
In the case of the ATM7029, the CPU is a quad-core ARM Cortex A9, and the GPU is supposedly a Vivante GC1000.

I fully expect the prices to go up once they are properly available but if they are at those prices, they will sell like hot cakes.

Im clueless about tablets. Im in uk. I want a tablet for games and youtube etc and for watching movies on. Ive been looking at the novo 10 hero 1 or 2 and also the pipo max m1. How do they compare please? Ive heard the rockchip in m1 isnt compatible with a lot of apps? Also how does the gc1000 in the hero 2 compare to quad mali400 in the others? Any advice appreciated. Thanks

No need to wait. Look for ample a10 benchmarks which uses gc2000. An upgrade to the gc1000. Performance isn't the big issue. Game compatibility is.
