1. Anyone having trouble powering off the tablet while charging? Does your tablet reboot instead of powering off when it's charging? Anyone know how to fix it? (On a stock Zenithink ROM)

2. Anyone having a hissing/static sound with AC3 and DTS audio encoded videos when playing with Hardware decoding? Anyone know how to fix it? (On a stock Zenithink ROM)

re 1, I have this problem too if I hold down the power switch and wait till it says power down, even using latest 4.0.3 firmware. But latest firmware means I hit power quickly now and it sleeps and power no longer drains, so I will just switch it off like that. On stock firmware the battery was draining when I did this so thats fixed.

re 2, I am not sure about that but I was getting a lot of RF noise when charging on stock firmware but this has disappeared on latest 4.0.3.

so I guess you should upgrade your firmware to partially resolve your issues. I decided not to go to 4.1 yet as says beta and think there are issues such as Flash no longer being supported and USB OTG not being fully supported. I am new to Android so am happy with ICS at moment.

Thanks for your suggestions, however I did update to the 0911 ROM before I created this thread.... Still having a problem shutting off the tablet when it's connected to the power supply or the OTG USB and charging, but I fixed everything else I was having troubles with.... For now, till Zenithink makes an updated spl to fix the powering off issue (I think that's what's needed to fix it, but not sure), I'm just holding the power button till it shuts off, however 20% of the time, this corrupts the data and on next boot it says I need to wipe the data partition/do a factory reset in order to boot up properly, so I don't want to keep doing that.... :(

Thanks agan for replying though! :good:

Ok I misread stock rom as being factory rom rather than latest non beta. Mine shuts off nicely by a quick press of the power or at least sleeps without battery drain. But like you if I hold down powere for a couple of seconds it reboots.

Am too having the odd won't-power-off situation. First time I noticed it i'd finished with the tablet for the evening so put it on charge, decided to turn it off fully so held down the power button and said Ok to shutting down, and the thing just booted up again. Didn't want to argue to just pressed the power button once to get it into sleep.

Apart from that I find that the CPU Mode Setting doesn't stay on 'performance' as much as i'd like it too. It certainly changes back to 'normal' after a reboot and may also change to that after a good while of being asleep. That setting doesn't seem to be in Zenithink's 4.1 rom (2012-09-27) which was the main reason for going back to 4.0 (2012-09-11).

Other than those (to me) minor issues I'm very impressed with it :)

For the 0911 ROM, you'll want to use Zenithink's 10.2 version that's spoofed to say it's 11.1.... It should be on your media partition (/mnt/flash aka Internal Storage) in the media folder with the filename pkg2.2.apk.... ;)

Since installing flash my c93 is self discharging again overnight when its off. Still just doing the quick off as full power down reboots. I'm thinking of reinstalling my rom. How do I do a rom wipe but with same 911 version? Or has anyone fixed the power drain and power off issues yet?

Also in my settings/about/build number it says I have 0614 here. I'm sure I upgraded to 911 so shouldn't it have updated this setting?

Have you tried just uninstalling Flash Player to see if it would help with the discharging issue? I've been charging mine while it's on and till it's full, then unplug it and power it off....

Reflashing the stock 0911 ROM (without altering any files) should wipe everything and send you back to back to factory settings....

The build.prop for the 0911 still says 0614, so it will say 0614 till the build.prop gets updated.....

I've been having strange bootanimation loop issues with my C93 on my altered 0911 ROM (stays on the android text bootanimation forever and never fully boots), can't figure out what's causing it, been at it for over 18 hours now....

Uninstalling flash seems to have stopped the power drain when off and 2seconds pressing power button actually turned it off last night instead of rebooting.

Glad your tablet is working the way you want it to, wish mine was....

Do you think you can do me a favor? Can you post your dmesg log during boot up/right after it fully boots to Android? I think my NAND may be corrupt, but I am not seeing any bad block sectors being shown or marked in my dmesg log.... My tablet keeps going in a bootanimation loop after rebooting or powering off....

Update: Think it's a problem with Play Store version 3.9.16.....
Update2: Yes it is, just uninstall the Google Play Store update before you power off or reboot and it should boot up fine afterwards... ;)

Anybody have troubles moving apps to sd card with JB ROM? With Zenithinks JB it says can't move to sd card. With CGM10 it shows in the apps info that it should be on sd card but is not, and it keeps freezing while trying to move apps. Works fine with official ICS, CGM9, and Omarahums modded ICS. Also, after installing CGM10, now when I install CGM9 it gets stuck on boot animation. I also had that problem with Omarahum rom, I see you found a fix to it, so I think i'll go back to that one as it is a good rom. Unless someone knows of any fix for this sd card issue with JB.

Thank you, I didn't think anyone tried it, glad you don't think it's worse than Zenithink's stock ICS ROM....;)

Just so you know, it appears you need to do the fix before powering down or rebooting the tablet everytime, my guess is it's some sort of dalvik-cache corruption, but I really don't know..... It doesn't appear to be happenng on all tablets, just some.... You can let Google Play update and use it all you like, just uninstall the update before powering down or rebooting each and every time.... That's the only thing that has worked for me.... Hopefully this won't happen in the next Google Play Store update, or someone will figure out what's the exact cause and make/share a fix, but I think we'll just have to wait and see....

Hello!

I experienced the following problems on my C93:

1. the internal memory is 5,74 GB instead of the expected 8 GB...also considering some memory reserved, I think more than 2 GB is too much
2. a couple of times the system reported error in reading the internal memory and I was forced to format it...last time the system was not able to repair it, so through ADB I found that partition table was gone, and only after writing a new partition table by means of fdisk I was again able to format and use the internal memory...

Someone else experienced the same problems? Do you think I should return the product?

Thanks!

Thanks!

1GB is for the system & cache partitions, 1GB is for the data partition, and then the rest is the media partition/Internal storage....

Usually when flashing a ROM, the tablet formats all partitions before flashing the new ROM files onto it.... You could also edit the command file to wipe the media partition only so it can just format that area - put a # infront of all lines except for --wipe_media

Luckily I have not had the issue you mentioned, at least not yet... But I have been flashing back and forth between different ROMs, so my nand gets formatted quite often, so that may be the reason I haven't experienced it yet...

Has anyone tried emailing zenithink about the power down and battery mgt issues otherwise I may do so via the e b a y supplier I bought it from.

Apparently the not being able to power down while charging is an intentional "bug".... They removed the code to allow that because of IPS display issues with the C97....
