I don't believe any of this old/new batch stuff. I don't think any of these MTK6575, MTK6577, or MTK6589 phones from china support band 3g 1900, I think they only support 850/2100 or just 2100 band! I think they're pretty much clones of clones with different names on them, a few tweaks here and there, but the guts are all the same firmware band support wise!

Sorry but I disagree. The Neobox CeCi 4.3" Android 4.0.4 and MTK6577 works with both bands (confirmed) But at the momment that's the only one that I can confirm with Americas frecuency band.

Yeah right, I don't believe it, most specs say it only support 3G 2100, mostly likely only 3G 850/2100! It doesn't support 3G 1900 band! I'm talking about DATA!

Regarding DATA (3G/UMTS) the NeoBox CeCi works on WCDMA 2100/1900/850. A friend of mine have it and it works on a carrier that uses 1900 (UMTS) frecuency. That´s why I can assure that it works.
You can even take a look at the back of the phone. There's a label that indicates WCDMA band 1,2,5

I've seen lots of phones from China making all kinds of fake claims, they see whats hots and claim to support it weather it does or not! After buying the lie, they turn around and tell you they're sorry they got false info from the Manufacture! CUBOT just pull the switch after selling lots of A8809 to people expecting 3G 1900 band. If you do a search on the "NeoBox CeCi" you will see the specs are all over the place! Are you a seller?

I'm really happy with the phone (of course I would preffered to obtain an S3 but I don't have that much money)
Here's the picture that I took from my CUBOT A8809 showing the H (UMTS 1900, Argentina, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires - Carrier Personal)

Regards!

You should perhaps use a disclaimer that it might not work being they have 2 different versions of the phone.

Here is a new phone coming out hopefully this month, the Verne V5. According to their website we got 3G:WCDMA 850、1900、2100MHz, most sites say it will go for 128-160$.

Very interesting, any news on that phone? It was supposed to be released on April, but still can't find any website selling.

I have a similar phone, a H7100 that was advertised with 1900mhz like that, even with MTK tools it shows 1900mhz.. and it was just a lie..

EDIT:
I also found this phone that supposedly supports 1900, and is for sale

I have a cubot m6589 and this a screenshot of my bands.
https://dl.dropboxus...1-19.04.50.jpeg
I can only get EDGE on t-mobile and I am in NYC where 1900 has been refarm to 3g.
Any clue if the phone is suppose to support 3g or not? All these frequencies and bands confuses me.
