I'm a step away from buying a tablet at the moment.

I read a lot all these days about 10" tabs, and came up that Pipo is making awesome tablets.
I got pretty confused with N90 and N101, even now I haven't cleared thigns up.

But I waited a little for M3, suddenly M2 came out hahaha

I'm soooo confused at the moment...

I can't decide between M1, M2 and M3. And I might add to my list a Yuandao tablet if anyone recomends it over a Pipo tab.

I just want a big screened tab for gaming and surfing, sound quality and dual speakers would be good too, I saw M3 is getting dual front speakers.

But damn guys... So confused...

The 10.1 aspect ratio is 16:9 which is absolute *oops in terms of usability, the M1 is a 4:3 making it more useful for more things.

16:9 = movies, games
4:3 = ereader, pdf, powerpoint, everything else.

The difference between each version are minor changes: bigger screen and 3g. I believe the one with the 3g has a crappy back (low quality).

I think I like 16:9

But in terms of specs and quality?

That's the main reason I opened up this thread.

I am in the same spot as the OP right now.
I'm wondering if I should go buy the M1 or wait for the M3.

My view would be to wait for the M3 if you like the 16:10 screen ratio. Also the speakers should be better than the M1 (dual front facing like the M2).

If you can wait log enough I should be getting an M3 for review after the Chinese holidays.

Not for me and I suspect a lot of other people as well.
The 16:10 aspect ratio of the M3 is almost perfect for displaying photographs which usually have a 3:2 aspect ratio ^_^

Oops, yes 1280 / 800 = 1.6 (or 16:10) not 16:9.

Which ones support 3G (ie. take a Sim card)?

The specs all refer to dongles. From what I can see on AliExpress and the www.pipo.cn site.

If they contain a 3G module can they also therefore do GPS? Anyone know?

Ah... The first couple of stores I clicked on must only have had the wireless version.... the next few, after I read your repy, do mention a 3G version.

http://www.aliexpres.../647843476.html

The above linked store was the only one that mentions a 3G frequency (2100). Does anyone know whether that is correct? That it only supports 2100. Aliexpress specs are notoriously unreliable. :)

If you are not buying from Roman then try this store http://www.aliexpres..._211938790.html

That's where I get most of my tablets that I buy direct from China. Very honest seller and ships extremely fast as well :good:

No wonder he gives you good service - his prices are higher than nearly everywhere else...

With Aliexpress's money-back program there are a lot less unscrupulous vendors. Sure it takes a while to get your money back, but at least you can.

Just as an example - he is charging $239 incl shipping to my country. I just paid $193 including shipping for a YuanDao N101 II.

His shipping cost is reasonable, but his unit price is high.

Nice to see that you do get your money back.

I ordered a phone through Aliexpress in early September. I cancelled the order two days later when I noticed that both the provider and the manufacturer had changed the specs on their web sites. Money had already gone from my account. It came back last week so took 3.5 - 4 weeks but it's back an I am only out of pocket a bank charge for a foreign transaction (since I used an ordinary credit card).

Is reassuring when dealing with people so far away that are a little difficult to communicate with.

edit ... Zootalaws ...... you must give points for the store name though...... :)

I linked to the M1 and M2 in question which I believe he has good prices not to a yuandao or any other tablet :good: Unless of course you are referring to someone else's link

Hi All,

I should be receiving my Pipo M2 and M3 tomorrow from Ingadget. Watch this space for a M1 vs M2 vs M3 mini-review :good:

I would strongly advise against purchasing a Pipo M3 P102 10.2 tablet. I recently received mine after purchasing direct from Pipo.

I received item as faulty, the top buttons are poorly made, volume control on mine is stuck in the down position, rendering the function useless at present. This was NOT something that occurred via postal damage, packaging was sound, box solid and not crushable at all. It had left the factory in this state.

Efforts to remedy this situation have been strained to say the least. Pipo customer services are rude and throw accusations. I have reverted to making a Paypal claim due to this.
Paypal have frozen their account, this shows they have issues, Paypal do not tend to do this after just one complaint.

More importantly, after further investigation, run your tablet through "Android System Info" App, and you will see there is a major flaw in the speed of the processor, processor runs extremely slow.
Worse is "Pipo" are fully aware of this issue, but still send the tablets out.

I would presume many buyers and retailers would buy these due to the processor, the 4 cores and the speed. As a retailer, expect to pass out a lot of refunds once the news of this flaw gets more publicity.
