Hi I read your post and manage to root my Ainol Crystal device. I then go to system folder/build.prop.

I changed 1 value: ro.sf.lcd_density = 160
I changed the value of 160 to 140... Rebooted and its forever stuck at the ainol splash screen. Can someone help?

Just install an official rom or custom rom and it will work.

Go to the SoulGem ROM topic in this forum. In the first post there is a download link for Flash Player 11.1. Download it on your Crystal and install it, you will need to enable Unknown sources in settings for this.

Hi need help can't able to root my crystal 121108G11869 android jelly bean 4.1.1. Did followed all the steps but it says execution aborted when executing crystal zip folder from SD card.Need to root because Huawei dongle model EC 156 not working with my crystal.

i tried to modify the firmware 1119 to ROOT and fullmarket

first unzip both of Crystalroot.zip and g06refe2-ota-eng.grady.wang.zip.

and move files of cystalroot to g06refe2-ota-eng.grady.wang

and edit built.prop and permisson file



Then compress g06refe2-ota-eng.grady.wang again

But uploading fail by this zip file I made


how should i compress the file???

It needs to be signed.

Don´t unzip and compress. Try this: simply open the zip with 7zip then edit build.prop, insert the xml files and then close 7zip.

@Soulflier, thanks a million for all your work, you must be flat out! @fuser-invent, plenty of very useful info from yourself too! All much appreciated folks.

Quick question for anyone - I have latest soulgem installed on my tablet and it works perfectly! But.... the 'Sky Go' app from the play store, for watching sky tv in Ireland and the UK won't work for me - I get an error that says that the app does not work on a rooted android device.

Is it possible for me to remove superuser / root privileges and still keep the soulgem ROM? Or do i have to reinstall the original ROM to use it? Hope not!

I had a look around the xda forums but no luck, suppose i'll just have to roll back to stock rom.
Is there any way of finding out what stock ROM to install for my model - Obviously forgot to note my original before I installed soulgem!!
