Thank you.
MY Build Number is.....ICS.g12refM1005.20120719
So I'm on 0719 then I assume? Which is the same as 1.1?
So would be best to move to 1.4?
Do I need a micro SD card to complete the update?
Thanks

all onda stock firmware sucks and is full of problems and nowt works right.
yes you need to download conner 1.4 en v3 and copy the the files from the folder and not folder less the doc files to an sd card, then turn off device wait a bit then press home key keep holding down and then power key holding down until icon appears and device will install update/ROM automatically..leave device and do not touch screen during update as it calibrates touch screen and wait until device reboots and all should be good...

Seems much better, notice location services are now working.
Youtube now works but I see that iplayer app is still played through my browser. Not a big issue I suppose but would be good to get fixed.
Thanks again.

if you want to see your onda vi40 dualcore working correct with more than 100 apps installed just
install the apps you need
download the ((((((((((((((go backup app)))))))))))))))
make backup to your external sd
reinstall original 1.5.5 onda firware (factroy default) install again the ((((((((((((((go backup app))))))))))))))) and then restore the backup from ext sd
after that work great
