Hi,

in 6 hours I learned all about HANNSpad 1653. :)

STATUS:
Updated from stock Android 2.2 and stock recovery to Android 4.1.2 - G_Harmony_Jellybean_v2.3.2.zip (SuperChargered) with kernel 2.6.39-4-kernelfoss+ and CWMR v6.0.1.1 TeamDRH beta 1, formated by TeamDRH_350M_Prep.zip.
In this configuration not working G-sensor and home/menu/back at right, this I read and know, but BT GPS work OK!
Used Bluetooth GPS Provider SW by mobile-j.de.
Boot first with ViewSonic birds and then animated color X logo.

PROBLEM:
After simple update (nothing cleared/formated) to kernel Graveen-Kernel-v1.2b.zip I cannot use BT GPS - "GPS Problem" notification occurred. :(
And flashing of WiFi LED like HDD acces make me surprised (is it data flow indication? it is storage access indication).
Boot with Cyanogen animated circle.

QUESTION 1:
BT GPS and Graveen Kernel v1.2b was tested before? Work? Will be fixed?
Which another HANNSpad kernel is available for Android 4.1.x?
Graveen Kernel v1.2 link is dead now, so can not be tested tested from another link and BT GPS not succes.

QUESTION 2:
Which configuration of formatting, recovery, kernel and ROM is optimal for HANNSpad and wish of have Android 4.1.x (or 4.2.x if exist some)?
I have always bad response on touch, finger must be pressed longer, short touch often not be accepted, overclock not helped, so hope that will be my error in bad combination of SW.

EDIT:
I found another formatting pack - Hannspad_JB_Prep.zip - so I will try to go from scratch now tested, fail, see next post.

So I tested Hannspad_JB_Prep.zip and G_Harmony_Jellybean_v2.3.2.zip - BT GPS work ok.
Then I add Graveen-Kernel-v1.2b.zip and BT GPS not work again.
Now I have HANNspree green square on boot, then animated X with original kernel or Cyanogen circle with Graveen kernel.

Is needed some clear/format partition after change kernel?

EDIT:
Yeeeaaa, I am newbie, it is true, sorry for that! :)
My combination of ROM and kernel was random and lucky!

But this "must be right" combination of SW not work with my BT GPS too. :(

I found some performance/CPU clock issue.
Another two JB tested ROM (CPU@216MHz-1.2GHz, interactive) have score about 7150 in Antutu Benchmark.
This combination of ROM and kernel (some CPU settings) have score "only" 6800.
And surprisely this ROM have score only 2400 at CPU@216MHz-1.4GHz, interactive (SMARTASSV2 have same result), CPU@1.2-1.4GHz have same results too.

Hi guys,

Sorry, i have no way to test BT GPS. Best i did was with a bt audio device i could use through VoIP calls.

I shared successfully GPS from my smartphone but it was through TetherGPS lite, so a Wifi link.

I suggest to use Slightly Blue, a CM7-based rom, which should handle hardware better.

Don't worry for the CM10 circle, it was simply an esthetic choice.

Graveen-Kernel-v1.2b contains following modules which compiled for other version of kernel:
auth_rpcgss.ko
ff-memless.ko
lockd.ko
nfs.ko
nfs_acl.ko
nfs_layout_nfsv41_files.ko
ntfs.ko
scsi_wait_scan.ko
sunrpc.ko
tun.ko
xpad.ko

I've recompiled it - here

I hope it will help to somebody. I've used tun.ko module, it works fine.

Welcome to Slatedroid icy and thankyou for jumping into Hannspad development. :drinks:

This isn't a flashable file right? Are you suggesting the modules in your package should replace the ones within the Graveen kernel?

No, it's not flashable file. It is simple archieve with several modules. Every of these files not used in Graveen kernel by default and not works (wrong vermagic). If you will need any of these modules, you can unpack *.ko file at your tab and load it by insmod. Also you can replace module in /system/lib/modules/ directory, but anyway insmod will require.

following modules requires for connect XBox gamepad:
ff-memless.ko
xpad.ko

following modules requires for mount Samba shares:
lockd.ko
nfs.ko
nfs_acl.ko
nfs_layout_nfsv41_files.ko
ntfs.ko
sunrpc.ko
auth_rpcgss.ko

following module requires for OpenVPN connections:
tun.ko

following module usualy unneeded, i think it will fix troubles with mount external SDCard:
scsi_wait_scan.ko

Will you make a kernel for the last 4.2.2 DRH build?

Graveen, thanks for hearing us. In my case, indicator lights - power light is always on, and Wifi light is blinking on accesses to internal storage. No access to external SD, also in CWM, but seems not mounted in ROM (no mmc1). Using 1.2b-minimal (only one that seems working).
