To flash this rom. Prepare a clean fat 32 formatted sdcard.This will format your internal Sdcard and erase your tablet contents.
Press and hold Home center button and Power Button,simultaneously, release when you see mid upgrade in progress. Do not press any buttons or attempt to power off your tablet. Let it up grade your software and it will shutdown when its done.

TESTED ON 1024N board Not sure if this will work on any other device.

On first boot (well every boot) Kernel panics right away(The black penguin) and sometimes the display is snowy or has a faded effect. Just wait and the bootanimation will start. After tablet boots up you turn of the display (short push on power switch) and turn it on again. There you are CM-9 on Coby Kyros 1024.

Wifi
Rotation
Camera
Sound recording
Skype

R10 doesn't work because it needs the new 3.0 kernel. And with this kernel we currently have no working touch screen.
The snowy background has always been there. Namko has not yet looked into this. It disappears when you turn off display (short push on power) and then turn it on again. (after full boot)

I've been running this firmware for about 2 weeks now.

What I love:
Boot time - Much better boot time than any of the Gingerbread variants I have been running for the past year
Downloads - Downloads are very fast and reliable


What I find to be buggy:
Kernel Panic - This is mostly just annoying, but having to turn the display off then on after boot is a must to clear the "snow" from the screen.
Auto Rotate - Very slow and some times I have to tap the back of the tablet to go from portrait to landscape.
Wifi - Signal is never 100% even when standing 5 feet from router
Phone Options - some of the options still exist (phone volume pop-up appears randomly). This makes it feel like I'm using a mobile phone firmware and not a tablet firmware.
Stand-by Battery Drain - This is probably the worst part... The battery drains very quickly on stand-by. I left my tablet, protected in a case and my back pack, for 5 hours after a full charge. When I went to retrieve it I could feel warmth through the case. I opened the case and sure enough the tablet housing was very warm and the battery was at 56%. No running apps. I think that wifi may be to blame, but can't be sure.
Some apps run slowly - Office programs run slowly when viewing pdf docs.

The firmware is stable and if you want ICS use it. Watch out for the initial setup screen. Language starts in African.

Recently Namko has ported Jelly Bean to our devices. I will post shortly a FW for MID1024. This runs a lot smoother than ICS. The kernel panic is still there and microphone and buttons are not working. Flash is working.

I've been running this since the day after you posted.

Good stuff:
- Works as advertised and installation was very smooth.
- Jelly Bean is very smooth looking for menus and app launching.
- Have had no problems with Netflix or HULU Plus.
- External SD Card works great (remember to activate root access option in ES file explorer or install a root folder

Bad stuff:
- Launcher crashes when using auto rotate.
- tablet still heats up when in case and searching for wifi signal.
- Didn't see any options in settings to activate USB mass storage mode when connected to laptop via USB.
- Long boot time (1:45)
- Auto rotate is a bit sluggish, but works well (other than when it crashes the launcher).
- When in screen is turned off tablet shuts down after about an hour (so standby mode does not seem to be working)
- wifi strength still appears to be weak and fluctuates even while standing near router.
-Big issue Alert
Twice in the past three days, I turned off the tablet and when I went to reboot an hour or so later, it would get stuck at the Nexus boot animation (animation would freeze and tablet would never finish boot process). I have to hard shutdown several times, eject the sd card, connect charger and continue trying to boot. It took about 10 boots before any success.
Regardless of all that, if you are looking for Jelly Bean for 1024n, this is the way to go. GREAT WORK!!!!

for the buttons you are speaking about the physical button wounder if it's the same with the 8024 and are you using the kernel 3. or the 2.

@MikeViller: no news from Namko.
The buttons are indeed the physical buttons. They work on the 1024 with ata2538.ko loaded. Is this the same module for the 8024?
I use kernel 2, with 3 I'm unable to get touch working.

yes the same module but they do not work with 3, I lunch the command insmod from adb and I get errors........

So all of my feedback for R3 is the same as R2 with two exceptions:

Touch Sensor
Occasionally the touch screen will become unreliable in reading touch commands (screen unlock and typing are the most notable). The touch sensor will either stop picking up touches or, in the case of the screen unlock, not recognize when I'm trying to drag something across the screen. Reboot is required to fix this issue.

Freezing During Boot - possible solution
This was an issue I first noticed in R2. I saw it once in R3 then I used Titanium Backup to clear Davlick Cache and have not see it again in more then a week.

Big thanks to Namko and Fotocreaman for a very usable ROM. Small bugs folks, but easy to enjoy!!!
