hello, my fire just can't mount emmc after i did a wipe on TWRP. now my fire in stuck on boot logo. i tried wiping and factory resetting in CWM but it always fails and it says failed to mount emmc. i tried to use the usb image tool. i inserted the blank sd in the computer then followed the instruction until its finished but after flashing the micro sd, my computer says that it doesn't support the format. it does not show as 512mb. i inserted the micro sd in fire and went to recovery, but nothing happened. it just went to CWM. any help please?

is there a specific format for the blank micro sd? i tried to format to FAT and the image tool flashed it, but it dont work on fire. i tried to format sd to FAT32 but the image tool said an error like "error 32, sd is in use in other program" and i cant get it to flash. the format of the sd in the instruction is on FAT32.

i tried to flash other roms but the unable to mount emmc still exist and im stuck on boot logo. does anybody know a fix?

im a newbie when it comes to forum rules, but just to inform others who may have a similar problem as me, ( unable to mount emmc or the automatic process of flashing failed ) while in stock recovery, just choose install from sd and choose the only file. it will work :yahoo:

APPLY UPDATE FROM EXT = APPLY UPDATE FROM SD card. It's the same thing.

If you have more loading problems with the ROM you have, try CM10 or CM10.1. I have had good sucess with both those ROMs.

Hi xer0backlash: I am currently running HSF in my 7fire qm, Can I go directly to CM10.1 even though my internal storage is 2 gig?

You can upgrade straight from HSF to CM10.1. Read the first post from Christian Troy HERE
"(based on Feiyu JB, flash that rom before this one to fix partitions)"

@aprendroid

Brick = "the tablet doesn't boot anymore because you have done something to its firmware"

Unbrick = "flash a complete fresh version of the firmware, thus returning the tablet to a bootable state or its factory state"

Some devices, once bricked, can't be returned to their factory settings, or only by opening the device and having access to special pins or connector.

Ainol tablets are much easier to unbrick because all you need in general is to boot from the SD card, where you will have previously copied a given set of files that contains the fresh complete version of the tablet's firmware. Then usually an automated process will overwrite the flash in your tablet with a fresh version of the firmware, thus "unbricking" it.

Hey, You seem to be the right person to talk to, I would have started a separate thread but as I just joined I'm not allowed to. I did a dumb thing of not using a twrp/cwm to flash my novo7flame with CM10.1 but got a error at the part where I had to install the compatibility.zip! The error quoted "E:/signature not verified" or so.I turned it off before it could reboot (here I did get the CM splash screen) then I did download the twrp for my tab and went about the flashing process but the same thing again compatibility's signature could not be verified and to add the dalvik cache couldn't be deleted either. Something strange is going on.
So here are my queries:
1: I do believe my device id "soft bricked" as I do get the splash screen saying "ainol novo7flame" and so far from what I have read, I guess I'm supposed to just go about and start the ROM flashing process and everything will be fine, am I right?
2: Agreed the above is what I am to do but what is the remedy for the dalvik cache not getting cleared? and the signature problem with the compatibility zip?

Would appreciate the help.. Much Obliged, Thank you
