Features

* Based on Rockchip firmware releases.
* Rooted.
* /system, /data, /cache EXT4 formatted.
* Full market access + spoofed as SGS2 (it may help with EA and GL games)
* Removed chinese and extra stuff.
* Ad-block through hosts file.
* Changed boot animation.
* Init.d scripts support.
* Disabled "move to internal sd". ** (read note) **
* Build.prop and kernel tweaks.
* OTA updates through "Update Me"
* Other minor things

Note: There's 1GB of space inside /data, it's enough for at least 250 apps. If you really wanna move apps to SD you can repartition the external SD through CWM's advanced menu, dedicating some space for /sd-ext partition. Then you just have to install "Link2SD" app from Play Store.

Instructions

* Unrar the ".rar" archive.
* Put the ".zip" file inside internal or external sdcard (it's a file large ~150MB, and it's the rom itself)
* Launch "RKAndroidTool.exe" from "RKAndroidTool" folder.
* Turn off the tablet and connect it to the PC while keeping pressed VOL+ button. If you have drivers installed it will be recognized by RK Android Tool, otherwise you'll have to install drivers from "drivers" subfolder.
* Push "Flash rom" button and wait. When it finishes it will automatically reboot to CWM recovery.
* Now perform a "Wipe data / factory reset" (you can use volume rocket to move up/down and power button to confirm).
* Now flash the ".zip" file previously uploaaded into tablet's memory.
* Now hit "Reboot system now".
* Enjoy!

Changelog & download links (Official Thread)

1.0

* Initial release based on N70 2012-07-27 "ZZ" firmware.

Part 1 (.rar) - Part 2 (.zip)

FAQs

* If you wanna reboot to recovery open "Terminal emulator" app and type:
su
reboot-recovery

X2 Truly appreciate all of your work here, ChristianTroy. :good:

Please understand that developers posting a rom and wanting to promote their work here at SlateDroid should at the very least provide a link or mirror to the file here. Note that we do realize how difficult it must be to keep up with so many roms and hold no offense to you providing/supporting your work elsewhere, but please take this into consideration with all fairness to SlateDroid members who wish to support you here.

Again, I want to sincerely thank you for all the work you have/and still contribute here at SlateDroid.

This rom is posted (with special consideration) by Christian Troy here as a courtesy to SlateDroid members interested in supporting his work. Please note that although support and downloads require registration at DragonDevs, we would also like to encourage and support his work (wherever he provides it).

Thank you, Christian Troy!

I trying to install drivers, but it's impossible!!

tablet is recognized as 'N70' device, and when I try to install driver, Win7 says that this is not compatible with my device and cancel installation.
Direct installation with .inf file is also refused (method not supported).

I'm a Win7 x64 OS on my PC.

With N70 normally booted, it's recognized as Android USB Device and works well.

Please help!

i use an emulated 32 bit xp (my main os is linux) and had any trouble, once connected keeping vol+ pressed (with tablet powered off) the pc recognized it but asked for drivers, i gave it the correct path and after a reboot it worked without any trouble

Hello,I bought the Yuandao n70 for $ 135.99 at Pandawill, I reached in 15 days or so, the case is not whether it is "AZ" or "ZZ", this recovery can be installed on either?, christian and do your roms are for "AZ" or "ZZ, or serve for two?
One last question, do they know android 4.1 jelly bean Yuandao officer for n70? Do you think that will leave?

Thank you very much for everything and greetings.

I would not buy this tablet yet. There`s a few problems with this tablet.

#1 when gliding a stylus pen from side to side or drawing letters it doesn't work 100%, so no note taking with a stylus :(
#2 when you swipe your finger a bunch of random buttons are pressed. (This is a software issue I believe) big problem here fix please.
#3 while on rock cream sandwich torrent downloading extremely incapacitates the tablet rendering it useless while it downloads. Good things it downloads at 500kb/s so it won`t take forever.

Make sure to set your channel for your router to 2. I`m experiencing the best speeds on there.

Rock cream sandwich does not support all the websites like the official 0727 ZZ rom. For example, NFL.com or m.NFL.com will not let me sign in to play fantasy :(.

Most importantly do not buy an ainol Aurora 2, such a pos.

Someone is having trouble loading the Window N70?
I've tried various firmware, and think it is the charger that is bad ..
