Later as in "a week" or as in this yeare

My first impression…

After a few days I will say that it seems like a fair piece of kit. I don’t have a SD card in it and it still has some problems regarding startup. Especially after I let it charge overnight.

It seem to have some software issues that needs to be resolved, such as the keyboard not working on some applications (as this fora). The wifi seems to have a poor range and behaves a bit strange with intermittent loss of funktion.

The other thing that is poor is sound and picture quality… it works but not to the standard that I would expect. And after some serching I found out that the 3.5 mm earphone socket is badly mounted thus making sound quality even worse. After some tinkering it works ok but still…

So listening to music(ok but not good), reading books while commuting and mailing works well and suites this light and nimble tablet well. Watching streamed video or doing anything more complex takes a bit of effort and hopefully the upgrade to Jelly Bean will resolve some of the software issues.

…and why is the power not supplied through the USB port?
Still I can´t help liking it…

Shenzhen SXV via Aliexpress... Dilivery was fast via DHL.
It came with 4.0.4 so im hoping that 4.1 will have remedied some of the early problems.

Wake up issue;
I tested my rock x by removing the TF card and observed no wake up issue.
You, who have such case, may check the same way and inform us if happens the same..

v4.0.4 OS
I purchased from SXV AE seller. Opened dispute. They send the v4.1 file to me. I asked also the existing/ stock OS v4.0.4 just in case to return. But they say they are unable.. Continued file a claim..

I do not want to take risk to flash v4.1 w/o having stock 4.0.4.

If anyone can find 4.0.4 file for rock x let's share here.
I am ready to share the 4.1 JB file in my hand if anyone wants to flash and upgrade..

Hi, can share the 4.1 JB? or is there a link to download it? Thanks.

Why not do a backup of the 4.04 and then install the 4.1, if there is a problem, you can then restore your back up!
I'm still waiting for my 3 xrock from the customs, i want to have the 4.1 to install when i get it.
Thanks :D

I have been having conversations with Hyundai, here is the

to service

Hello,
I preordered hyundai rock x and i bought three units,
The reason why i made he purchase was because it was advertised has being preloaded with android 4.1 jellybeans.
The devices has been shipped, and i am shocked that it is loaded with android 4.0 ice cream sandwich instead of the
much advertised jellybeans 4.1.
When am i going to have 4.1 on my purchased tablets?
And a word of advice, if you want people to take you seriously?
Try and stick to your promises has advertised.
Thanks

I bought it here while it was still a preorder!

http://www.aliexpres.../615521229.html

I paid $187.98 for it, but the seller promised to return my balance when making new order next time.

You have not answered my question?
When are we going to have Jellybeans 4.1 on it.
That's why i bought it, i could have spent a little more and get Nexus 7!
Please reply as soon as possible or give me a link to download the jellybeans update.
Thank you.

Because we are the manufacturer, we have installed the 4.1 from the second batch.

We have no advertisement for the first batch device to promise anyone that it is 4.1 system, if you think you have been cheated by seller, please contact with them directly.

Thank you!

Jerome

What a load of rubbish, i never saw any advert online where Rock x was advertised as preloaded with 4.04!
Another reason why Chinese manufacturers are not to be trusted!

@kunle
As you do not have the tablet in your hand you do not know this tablet has no CWM Recovery mode to enter and execute Nandroid Backup.
I have still been seeking Suitable CWM to install. The longseman's method with C.Troy's CWM, which needs parameter file, did not work out.

@Others who complain screen wakeup issue
I came close to the resolution which really works.
Download and install 'Auto Airplane Mode' from playmarket and adjust accordingly.
No more wake up and battery drain.

As I stated before I m ready to upload v4.1 somewhere.
Pls suggest a free file server which accepts 400 mb and keeps it at least a month for any downloader..

I can tell you it works and is fast allthough i do not have the Rock X.
On order, nothing.
Favorites, in order of use, Ramos W42, Ployer Momo11 quad exynos 4412, Chuwi V88 RK3188, Samsung galaxy tab 7.7, PiPo M8pro RK3188, Ployer Momo8 IPS, Yuandao Window N70, BB playbook.
Sold last months, PiPo U1, Teclast P85, PiPo S2, Teclast P85HD, Cube mini U30GT, Yuandao Vido N80IPS, Ainol Novo 10 Hero ii: very bad, Ployer Momo12, Onda V812, Yuandao Vido N80 RK3188, Teclast P88, Nexus 7-8Gb for €150, buying in a few months a new model with snapdragon 600? for the same price.

And: You know we all became mathematicians for the same reason: we were lazy.

The screen wakeup issue has to do with the micro sd card storage problem. When the tablet wakes up, it displays an error message about the mounted storage. I've tried to resolve it with your suggestion by switching on airplane mode, but the problem persists.

Btw, thanks for the JB 4.1 upload. Have you tried updating your rock x with it?

@ User78
Not yet.
I m afraid of probable bugs and no chance to return 4.0.4 as I do not have.
Till having stock Fw or anyone else confirms it as not buggy I will wait patiently..

The tablet doesn't seem to be able to charge through the micro USB port, even though I've connected it to a 5V 2A plug. Is there a USB to DC-in cable that can be used to charge the tablet? What is the dimension of the tablet's DC-in plug?

Be carefull.
As I stated before, I avoided to upgrade to 4.1 for a long time.
Finally yesterday I decided to take my chance and upgraded to 4.1.
Observation and result,
I did not notice signaficant difference . Even I started to suspect that the v4.1 OS FW is a clone of v4.0.4.
After making all arrangmant and started to use my tablet happly.
There is still wake up bug w/ this version too.
Rooted w/ chineese soft as stated before.
All seemed okay. But next day/ today when I wanted to turn on my tablet I realised that touchscreen no more functioning.
The tablet, strangely, stopped its touchscreen facility during off time.

I flashed 5 times the same version v4.1 unfortunatelly no chance to start initial settings and to use the tablet.
No more touch facility.

Whoever has intention must be carefull. I frankly suggest to all to remain w/ v4.0.4.

And, I myself urgently need v4.0.4 Stock firmware.
Who has such a possibility should upload somewhere.
Ths in advance.

Thank you very much for your concern.

I can not enter web page, 404 error.

Can you enter ?

Do you know any other way to enter there?
Or any one can help to download and upload somewhere ?
I urgently need it to save my tablet...
