That file isn't corrupted, thanks.

Is this method a Gingerbread-only method?
I am stuck in a bootloop no matter what I do (I followed the steps to install CM9/AOKP), tried with and without:
legacy file
fixing permissions

and tried both AOKP and CM9. I am obviously able to flash back to Mele's official 4.0.3 but I need the X-pad driver support in the kernel and AOKP/CM9 have that, but the Official rom doesn't.

Any ideas?

hi David, are you the same as xda 'deivid_'?
http://forum.xda-dev....php?p=30365004

is yes, I compile from android with make ARCH=arm sun4i_crane_defconfig this is for android.
http://www.lundman.n...#Android_Kernel have more information you have to compile modules with the branch 3.0.8 not the last because they are working with other kernel version 3.0.36 I think.
http://rhombus-tech....kernel_compile/

I download a zip from github for the version 3.0.8. and then compile from this zip because with 'git branch xxxx' does'nt work for me.

I have Mele firmware ICS.

I compile Hid-pl.ko succefully for my tesun dual psx adapter (chinnese), on a VMware Debian with 'mix' lundman instructions and RhombusTech.
I copy this on /mnt/sdcard/ of my mele
with a terminal emulator on mele I insmod and next plug the joystick, it recognized in dmesg, but I'll have to create a keylayout for my joystik :(, and app Joycenter didn't work because mele firmware don't have usb host API, but there are some joystick layout on /system/usr/keylayout in mele. you can see the Vendor and Product with lsusb command. if your xpad is recognized, or plug in a debian pc and compare.

hope. You can, I you have troubles sayme what modules, and I try compile ko for you.

Pere

Hi calhemp,
Yes, I'm from XDA
I'm compiling the kernel right now and I'll tell you if it worked when I finish, the thing is that the module I want is included in the kernel, it just wasn't checked.
http://lxr.free-elec...memless.c?v=3.0
http://lxr.free-elec...d.c?v=3.0;a=arm

Those are the modules.
Thank you for your help

EDIT:

Also,
I compiled the modules, moved the xpad.ko to the mele and I get insmod: init_module '/mnt/sdcard/xpad.ko' failed (Exec format error). Same with the ff-memless

The file is only for the original ice cream sandwich version from Mele, not the newly released 4.0.4 v1.1
Once you have set the language and finished the settings install CWM. It worked best for me to only clear cash and dalvik cash and not do a factory reset.
then follow the guides order of install.

AOKP worked on ICS 4.0.4 V1.0.
Is it just me or the video playback stutters a little?

Well Srerg I am very sorry I do not have a clue as to how those files have changed, the only file that should be present is the recovery.img. I have re-uploaded the file here:

OK! Thank you very much, you are very much helpful for me.
I downloaded the file recovery.img Size: 9.21 MB

I have MELE A2000 Firmware: MELE_android_4.0_version 1.1.
I do everything from instructions:

INSTALLATION PROCESS:
OK! 1. - Turn ON Mele
OK! 2. - Connect on ethernet. Check the IP address, take note.
192.168.1.XX (i used ip - 192.168.0.2)
Take note of the MAC adress too.
OK! 3. - Unzip adb_recovery_install.zip (i used IT )
Go to directory \ adb_recovery_install \ script_dat
Execute HDMI or VGA bat .... this configure the system.
In the same directory with Notepad + + edit the file "script.fex" and
change MAC = "00ce39112233" ... with our MAC SAVE.
Then execute edit_bootload.bat to save the configuration.
OK! 4. - Copy in the root directory of the SD card:
Recovery.img (i use it - http://www.slingfile...file/kZ5ttBxUbk )
zip CWM9 or AOKP
zip Gapps.
zip Compatibility.
Insert the SD in the Mele
OK! 5. - Go back directory \ adb_recovery_install and open a command line here.
Execute:
install-recovery.bat 192.168.1.XX
The Mele reboots in recovery mode.
NOT! 6. - MAKE A BACKUP IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR CONFIGURATION.
Wipe data & wipe cache
Flash CM9,
Flash apps
Flash compatibility
Advance> Fix permissions
Reboot

I downloaded the recovery.img which you give
Mele successful entrance into recovery mode
but i can not change the selection in the menu recovery
I do not know how to drive, remote control does not work, the button FEL also can not control.
How to manage rocovery menu?
With the shift down and then select: Wipe data & wipe cache
How to apply the selected items?

Srerg you are using Mele's latest version of ICS 4.0 v1.1 it should be 4.0 v1 use the link in opening comment in this thread.
Here it is: https://docs.google....BM1k/edit?pli=1
Unfortunately it means you need to start from fresh and flash this firmware first.
