I had this problem with the Xuehu rom try this: flash official ICS and boot and set language nothing else. then install CWM wipe cash and dalvik cash do not do a factory reset then install the update.zip.
Also no compatibility zip needed.
Hope this helps.

After a short play with the MK802 v2 rom it appears to work well but there is a major drawback, there is no Ethernet device detected so it would appear there is no driver present. I also suspect there will be no sata support as the MK802 has no sata output but I am unable to test this.
Now the interesting bits: The Mele powers off properly from the hardware button and the included remote, where as the Mk802 cannot power down fully with its own rom. Also the Mele's included remote works fully as far as I tested it with this rom where as the Mk802 has no IR receiver.
It almost seems as though the company's have been sharing the development ?
I think all in all Mele's new 4.0 version 1.1 is a better choice.

V1.1 is the best for the mele now.

Recovery installation dont work in 1.1 when you install it the system corrupts and need reinstallation.

If anyone is interested I did flash the Uberoid Mk802 Beta image to the Mele but it has the same problem as the official MK802 image in that the on board Ethernet is not detected. I am now considering installing CM10 preview via livesuit using the MK802 method and files to see if that will Boot.

Thanks for the help with the mele A2000

Still no luck with PhoenixCard - have tried many versions seems to format but fails to load the img file onto the SD

Have upgraded with a more generic ICS rom using win32diskimager - works ok but lots of force close/ wait dialogs - happens often

Has anyone had any luck with AC3 decoding viar optical or HDMI?

Thanks
Jid

Have you used SDFormatter before using PhoenixCard, if you have and are still having problems try and put your card in a digital camera and use the low level format option in there, then try PhoenixCard again.

Hi, from what I can tell the latest official firmware is rooted you may need to update busybox to get some apps that require root to work.
ADB is enabled over ip also on this firmware. I tested with the command:
adb connect (ip address of A2000)
And got the result:
adb connected (ip address of A2000)
As for unpacking and repacking, I am sorry but this is out of my understanding, I hope someone reads this who can help you.

No problem, here is a link for mele_a100_legacy-compatibility_v1.08_cn.zip

http://www.filedropp...atibilityv108cn

Also if any one is having problems with superuser on the official 4.0 v1.1 firmware i fixed mine by:
1: installing busybox apk from the market and updating the install
2: installing rom manager apk from the marked and run the fix permissions option.
3: install superuser apk from the market and click on the "I" button then tick the "outdated binary notification" box. once done click the "tap to check for updates" option and a new window will appear at that point the update button will be viable so you can update.
let me know if it helps someone. :D

I'm sorry but the zip seems broken :( I can't open it with 7zip and CWM fails to read it.

Try this upload.

That file isn't corrupted, thanks.

Is this method a Gingerbread-only method?
I am stuck in a bootloop no matter what I do (I followed the steps to install CM9/AOKP), tried with and without:
legacy file
fixing permissions

and tried both AOKP and CM9. I am obviously able to flash back to Mele's official 4.0.3 but I need the X-pad driver support in the kernel and AOKP/CM9 have that, but the Official rom doesn't.

Any ideas?
