A couple of times in your explanation you refer to "zip CWM9" but I believe you mean "zip CM9" as CWM is installed via the recovery.img and a script or batch file.

One major step that should be mentioned is the initial backup of the Mele from CWM.

Yes, is "zip CM9"... typo error, sorry.

And... Ok, mention to make a backup is important too.

Thanks.

mele_a100_legacy-compatibility_v1.06_cn
https://www.sugarsyn...67716806_600967

-F10 mouse support.
-Improvement in CM9 full screen
-Mouse support like the oficial firmware, left back button, middle menu.

-------------

ISSUES:

IR control still works crazy.
SATA support. Dont work for me...

I prefer AOKP now... Video playback is great, better than any official.
And the personalization make the esperiencie great.

Thanks for the guide and links. I had problems getting it installed at first but once I flashed the official mele ICS rom it installed fine. my problem then was that I was unable to control CWM but once I figured out it was a conflict with my laser mouse and removed that and reflashed it all worked.

Perfect!

CWM works for me with any wifi keyboard and mouse.

Enjoy the new System.

You can save more memory sttoping and disabling some apps running in background in Settings>Applications>In use.

Which version you have installed? CM9 or AOKP?

I have flashed both but currently I am using CM9 and I must say I am very impressed.
Which apps have you stopped to save memory?

The rotation app... exchange mail (if you don't need)... and some more, i dont have the Mele here now.

With Room toolbox -> Auto start manager... we can clean more apps in the boot...
https://play.google....liberty.toolbox
DRM services, phone features...

I take a look and make a list one of this days.

CM10 Preview 1 dont work... but i try only with the chinese 1.08 compatibility
I want to try with Preview 2 & new MK802 compatibility for JB.

The update in the link looks like the oficial version ICS V1 0628... with a audio fix?
When you try this let me know... thanks!

Well it works but I did not follow their guide, all I did was to flash the update zip from a fresh install of ics once I had installed cwm so some of the issues I have may be my fault in not using their recovery and hdmi settings.
First problem is that it will not display properly hdmi settings produce unusual results
Second the status bar is hidden but I am unable to call it back up.
I haven't yet tested this further. I think I need to read the thread again and follow it fully.
I will let you know how I get on.

OK here are my results. To get it to work I had to use the "HDMI cable the feed Recovery.rar" listed in the second reply to the Chinese thread. I used their files and changed the ip address in the HDMI线一键入Recovery.bat file to suit my mele but I had to change the recovery.img to the one you listed here:
http://db.tt/KYg2WQ3K
As the one they used I was unable to navigate i.e. no response other than flashing screen. My mele then booted into recovery, note recovery is split into quad screen as in the mk802 and the screen flashes on each key press but I was able to navigate recovery and flash the update.zip.
Once I booted into android the HDMI setting worked and my previous problem was fixed, also under display settings there are more options than in the original ics.
The system speed is good and the original mele remote works. The hidden status bar is a feature of this rom and I am still unable to unhide it, there is an app installed that I believe is an advanced settings app but it is in Chinese, I have a hunch this will allow you to unhide the status bar plus a lot more, there are a lot of sub settings so we would need someone to translate.
There is an audio patch pre-installed and I think it is the 1.4 version.
In all I think this rom has potential we just need to know how to unlock it.

I have now followed the hardware mod guide and have successfully installed MK802 FW 0710B.img via livesuit, it boots up fine I will now test and see how it performs.
I am also going to flash the Uberoid Mk802 image and will let you know how it goes.
