My A7HD stopped charging....
#1

I am an owner of Hyundai A7HD for more than a month.
I tried stock firmware and then few ROMs, etc.
Everything was working great until the first time the battery ran out completely.
from then, the device stopped recharging the battery.
It works only when connected to the DC outlet (and usb, but usb doesn't supply enough power....).
Any ideas?
Anyone had a problem like this?
I tried to contact the seller and i am waiting for an answer...
Thanks!

I have tried that - Did you try the latest offical rom, or the Cherry Mobility Rom from mtr33?
I think actually the Cherry completely erase the battery rom, it does even better than the offical rom!
Try it and you won't regret.

The problem is not with showing the correct battery %...
It is not charging at all...

That means your battery is wrecked. You better get it repaired, I think...

I'm afraid it is a physical problem...
I will send the tablet back to China later on this week for repair.

Really thought it was a hardware fault, but after reflashing the stock ROM it started working again.
Went back to CM9 and it has been fine ever since.

As I haven't sent back the tablet, I am willing to try this.
I have opened the device before but wasn't 100% sure which leads goes to the battery.
Are those the red and black that soldered to the left of the battery?
Here is a photo of the tablet open (taken from the wifi mod...):

Thanks a lot!

yes - that's correct. Pls unsolder either the thick black or red lead.

Ok, it took me some time to get a soldering tool.
I have tried it few times, each time i thought i didn't let it discharge enough.
It was D/C for more than 3 hours at last try and it didn't help.
I didn't want to pay the shipping fees, so i contacted a battery seller on aliexpress and sent him the pictures of the battery.
He made a special sale for the battery that is compatible with the tablet.
I ordered one.
For those who think to replace a working battery and get better working time, I don't know if the ratings (mAh) will be as stated. My current battery is dead, so any working battery will be good for me.
link to the sale
Now, if anyone know how do I remove the battery? It is glued to the back of the screen...
I will update again...

Ps: Flash yhe last One firmware doesn't solve the probem. Only 0424 solve.

alexmartins - I have tried all firmwares... didn't work...
sgranapannocchie - I don't have one right now but I will try to get one and try.
Thank you both!
P.S. - Still waiting for my new battery to arrive...

(I wrote to the supplier to inform him...)
Anyhow, I'm pretty sure that the problem now is that the tablet is not using the battery as a power source!
I tried soldering the new battery and the tablet behaves the same - shows full battery but when I unplug the DC power it shuts off immediately!
It won't power without being connected to DC power...
Guys, need more ideas!

2. Dùng mỏ hàn tháo 2 đầu dây nối từ Pin vào main.
3. Hàn lại như cũ.
4. Bật nguồn điện.
Xong!
