Exactly how it looked for me too, until I managed to find just the USB cable that worked. I lost count over how many different cables I've tried, but finally I found one that worked. Seems silly that the flashing process should be so "fragile", and I couldn't believe that it was the cable that was the culprit, but obviously it was.

I guess I can try two more cables that I have laying around.I have the new MD01-V6.0 version with the red led and 9V charger but I don't know if this 0802 firmware works with it. Ideally I'd like to flash it (or recover) with the factory 0729 firmware, but it's obviously not available yet.

djxsDoes this rom work better than the stock rom (I have the same apad as you, lunarsources)? What did you do differently that worked (rather not brick it)? I am going to try to do this from Ubuntu and I will post if I can make it work. Thanks

I am going to try to do this from Ubuntu and I will post if I can make it work. Thanks[/QUOTE']It's pretty much the exact same rom you have now (same build date and everything).. but without the Chinese characters in a couple of apps.. everything else is the same. I would stick with the version you currently have since I'm noticing that'll it'll shut off by itself sometimes which didn't happen before.. I'm thinking this one needs a little tweaking (0802CN) and yours already has some from the factory. As for not bricking it, I tried 3-4 different cables, but the one that came with it worked the best. Always use a USB2.0 port that is directly connected to the motherboard, don't use front ports or hubs. Also use RKAndroidDM instead of RKAndroidTool to flash your device.

xaueious;30825]chip3c Li Xin of Chip3c uploaded a working version of the new Apad motherboard Red LED Apad ROM. If this works, on we can repack this for you into the hybrid firmware. [B, said:

Do not flash if you have a blue LED. IT IS NOT THE SAME[/B]This only applies to the metallic Rockchip Apad with a 9v charger and a red LED charging light. Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! This at least helps those of you who have flashed the firmware wrongly.

Yes, you have the "real" 3rd batch BLUE LED apad irobot made by Shenzhen Utopia (hiapad). Currently 0806 is the newest firmware available for it and you already have it installed. Do not try flashing 0802CN since your apad uses the 3.20 bootloader while mine uses version 3.27.. and obviously uses a different kernel too.

You definitely have same devices like this guy who have bricked his apad...so for now you should stay away from any custom roms until you have official firmware for your apad..
