it's a different project, one is cyanogenmod this one is android open kang project, they're both based on AOSP but are slightly different, for example AOKP is very customizable

Cool!! I'm installing it right now.
It's so cool to see even more ROM for the A10. I wanted to try to build a clean AOSP and see if it was possible to build a MIUI rom for allwinner, since it's a while since MIUI released its code. I love MIUI, it would be beautiful in a tablet!!
Only thing I have no time at all :(

Again!! Thanks Christian!!

Installed and working well here.
VERY early impressions:
Benchmarks results are lower than CM9 rom, but feels smooth in use.
BBC Iplayer seems to work better than on CM9.

it seems a bit faster than cm9 to me, maybe it's just placebo or the clean system (i've flashed over ~100 builds on that cm install, lol)

do you have used your kernel does not?

i'm using mine, the same that cames with 0615 cm9 build

Again!! Thanks Christian!!

you're welcome ;)
i dont like miui that much... it seems too "iphonish" to me <_<

I'll support both, now that everything works and is integrated there's a little mantainence, just merging new upstream stuff and hope it doesn't break anything :)

FYI, I managed to upgrade from CM9 nightly to AOKP without doing a wipe data/factory reset.

All I did was clear cache & dalvik cache, flash AOKP, flash Gapps and flash D90W compatibility 1.1.0.

Everything seems to work great and I kept all my apps :)

I love the customization options of AOKP. Now I can remove the useless mobile network coverage icon in the status bar ;)

@yella yes there is, because the boot image is unified since cm9 0610 release.

@magic it'd been better wiping because it's a completly different rom (you could restore user apps with titanium backup but system data has to been clean)

Ok this could be the reason why a number of us on tablet republic are having problems with the last couple of builds, it seems we are all ok with the compat upto 1.0.7 we get stuck in a boot loop, its not just me either a few of us are having it, really odd.

nha, it works on all 910i which is the same device. you dont notice any change because all modules are loaded (and the one not needed are deleted)

someone with an ainol should do a compatibility zip, i had tried to do one for first version of aurora for my cm9 porting but it didnt work fine

Please,
Do you think that there is in this ROM some different code that can give a better (or a different) battery behaviour against CM9 ROM in Onda Vi40 ?
Because I and other use have problems with battery life with CM9, but the rest are very good.
THanks,

Key Code From: [rom] AOKP

By s2k7 in s2k7's Blog, on 23 June 2012 - 02:18 AM

you can change hw button mappings editing sun4i-keyboard.kl inside /system/usr/keylayout (you can find the correct scancodes using "keytest.apk ") or you can do it with AllWinner Mod (correct me if I'm wrong, I guess that app does the job)
