Hi ! New problem !!

I think I really got my N83 bricked, cos' since I applied the compatibility.zip, nothing appears on the screen AT ALL !!

I'm kind of proud, because I didn't find anyone with the same problem so I feel unique, but in the other hand my tablet is out of order, which sucks.

It happens yesterday, the battery was full and the only sign given by the device is that green light that you can see from the mic hole. If I play with the power button this light goes on/off like before but on the screen, there's still nothing.

I never managed to enter recovery without Novo7tools (is it REALLY possible to enter recovery mode with buttons ??) so I'm really stuck now.

I read a post somewhere written apparently by a chinese tablet's specialist and he says that in the factory firmwares are pushed in the tablets with a soft named PhoenixCard. I have to find a miniSD card reader to test this last-chance-solution... it's here => http://www.slatedroi...85/page__st__40

If anybody has an idea, feel more than free....

Thanks in advance.

HussainAnees,

Reflashing the stock rom using either Livesuit or Phoenix Card method will get you back working again.

Remember though, you'll lose all your existing apps & settings.

Note: The other Sanei N83/Ampe A85 thread has more details on the reflashing process.

New problems. My N83 will not boot. It is stuck at the "MY SMART MY LIFE" screen. None of my computers recognize it when I plug it in to any of the USB ports. I've played around with the buttons while trying to boot it up but only got an android laying down with an exclamation point. It won't let me do anything from that screen either. I don't have any CFW, not rooted. It's stock. I've only had this tablet for about a month now and am really disappointed with all the problems.

Does anybody know how I can at least get it back to the home screen?

I have tried two windows7 laptops and an XP desktop PC, every USB port and many different cables, installed USB drivers from livesuite and not one computer sees this tablet. Anybody got any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I've tied so my combinations of button pressings, turning the PC and/or tablet on and off and plugging in cables and nothing.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Zippy628 Hello, I have the same problem as you (identical)

could you fix it??? like you did???

regards

mlugo,

Assuming you don't have the dual core N83 (which is RK3066 based rather than Allwinner A10)

Firstly, remove any micro SD card you might have in the tablet. Then, press the power switch for about 10 secs until the screen goes blank, release it and then press it again (like you are powering it on for the 1st time). IF this works, it could be that the micro SD card wasn't inserted properly (even if you did insert it properly, sometimes the tablets think you haven't).

If this doesn't get you back working. The best solution is to re-flash your tablet with the factory rom using the Phoenix Card method. I posted full instructions for this in the Ampe A85 thread.

If it is the dual core version, I'm sorry, the Phoenix Card method won't work and I don't know of any way you can reflash it without linking it to your PC.

Let me know how you get on.

Dave

FYI - Sanei N83 is exactly the same tablet as the Ampe A85. In fact all Sanei models have an equivalent Ampe model.

Hello guys!

I recently moved my router from one room to another, and knocked against the same problem: short WiFi range.
It something similar with my GPS on another device, where I made an antenna hack as described here and on XDA.
I think that I will try the same with this deaf tablet, and will report here later.

Want to update your firmware? (Instructions here.) First of all: make a backup of your stock firmware, and write down its version name/number (QM or TM?).
AML Flash tool user guide. (Not enough? Click here.)
Here is how to check your system details. Modify the language settings, if you have Chinese after the update.
