Market Flash Player 11 is not supported.

Maybe a limitation with amlogic processor???

I found that only 10.2 flash included in Gemei G9T can be installed but it has limitations.

First Flash player version, second limitation is that integration with Opera or Chrome beta browser is not working, instead Dolphin Hd browser or embedded one are working ok with the included flash player version.

Any idea?

Yes, problem with Amlogic chips. Same happened with 8726-M1 & 8726-M3. Rumor is that they fixed it with 8726-MX but you would need to install newer kernel. ie, a newer firmware version.

So, keep checking with and trying newer firmware from Gemei. It is up to Gemei to use that newer kernel in their firmware.

Sooner or later it could start working for you by flashing newer firmware. Keep on eye out on other 8726-MX tablets. Elf-II & Ramos W17 PRO. I believe Flash is working properly on W17 PRO but better to ask them.

*MINIX NEO X5 (RK3066) - OK. Not fun because uses mouse cursor.
*YUANDAO N80 DUAL (RK3066) - Very good
*CUBE U30GT (RK3066)- Defective; buttons broke in 2-3 weeks; Bad quality control!!! I will never buy a Cube again!!! - Very good while working
*WOPAD I7 (RK2918)- About OK. Sluggish because has weaker ARM chip (RK2918) & less RAM (512 MB).

Ah.. It was pretty tricky to get flash 11 install cause it's in the system folder. Here is how I got flash 11 going.

1. launch app management and clear all flash data and disable it?
2. Use root explorer and mark \system folder as RW.
3. Browse into \system\app folder and move the flash program "install_flash_player_ics_0420.apk" to sd card as backup.
4. Reboot the tablet and so that all reference to old flash program and data gets clear out.
5. Go to android market and install flash 11.

Please note that my unit only got thru the first 2 step of script. Hence, the market is still the same old one from gemei. I could see flash 11 update in the market, but it would not let me update. I end up doing this way to enforce new install of flash 11. The flash is working without any issue with browser. However, if you can't see flash 11 in the market, it would means that the market is seeing your unit as different hardware from the subsequent file update that you ran as part of script?

Good Luck,

Piggy

The problem with Flash Player 11 is that video play doesn't work.

I installed from market Flash Player 11 using Titanium Backup.

1)Uninstalled Flash 10.2 included on system with Titanium Backup.
2)Access to market and installed Flash Player 11

With flash player 11 installed, Opera shows flash video controls inside web pages, but YOU CAN'T REPRODUCE VIDEO , maybe hardware acceleration problem with amlogic chipset?

Could you reproduce video??

Using 10.2 Flash player version on system, you can reproduce flash video but only on internal browser or Dolphin HD, as Opera doesn't recognize Adobe Flash player 10.2

I am using the default browser with flash and Firefox Aurora for browsing. However, I have tried to install opera mobile to check the flash functions. The adobe web version site indicate it's version 11,1,115,11? However, I have noticed that Opera mobile doesn't appear to be very stable with flash. Sometimes, it either hang during the loading or crash the browser. The crash seems to carry over to the other browser and even the system. I have to go into app management to force the program shutdown and reboot the unit.

The default browser that came with Gemei seem to be much more stable except that if you holding the unit in the orientation that it doesn't like, the flash video play back would swing up and down.

Piggy.
