btw, it takes time for google to take into account modifications
I changed the xml files and now have access to chrome and facebook. However, I still can't access Amazon Mobile and iFarmers as it says that my device isn't compatible. Is anyone able to access these apps in the google play store?
Also, anyone hearing if Jellybean will be available soon for the 97s?
Thanks,
Tony

It's still under my investigation. The first impression very good, but battery loose energy very fast. Is there some train period for it to keep energy?

I don't experience battery issues. You have to be sure that your tablet has a full charge since the battery indicator is not accurate. For me the indicator stays long between full charge and 90% and then it drops faster.

Thanks for the answer. That is the problem how to be sure of the full charge if indicator is not accurate
I tried to charge it during 7-9 hours. Looks like it can be not enough.
Continue to investigate.

The device is in the debugging mode, in the Device manager I see 97S with yellow question mark (that means-not recognized)
Checked on the 2 XP PCs
Several times rebooted...

Glad to see an edge mounted button and metal back option.
Here is an N90 at Merimobiles with Jelly Bean pre-loaded. I am hoping it is an edge mounted design with a metal back ...not 100% sure as the video says one thing, picture another.
N90 @ Merimobiles
AND THIS ...
This design looks to be the same as the Visture V4 being sold on Aliexpress.
V4
I had thought I read of a two year warranty with the Aliexpress unit ...not sure now. They do use DHL shipping, plus it says they have free return if tablet is bad.
That sounds really good. Anyone ...please share experience with this seller?
Thanks

When I used other android devices, reading video, the tablet screen was black except the commands. Here the device is still active. I have not checked yet if I can get a full HD movie on my 1080p TV.
Since it is a 4:3 device, you may not have a full image on your 16:9 TV (I have not find the good settings yet on my monitor)
I hope it will be solved with upcoming firmwares.
What about this?
Does anyone made the test?
Does all of the 9.7"(4:3) tablets have this problem?
I'm concerned about this 4:3 tablet 16:9 TV difference, something similar happens also if you connect a 16:9 notebook to a 4:3 TV in dual-view mode, on this case the image in the notebook gets reduced to fit the 4:3 aspect ratio so you get the exactly the same image on the notebook and on the monitor.
The same would be great here with the tablets, to see the same as in the TV the tablet should have two options:
this is the more useful one,
1- to keep 16:9 ratio on both (so up and bottom black borders will appear on the tablet)(but you get a full image on the TV)
and
another useful setting, eventually, but not as much,
2- to keep 4:3 ratio on both tv/tablet(so lateral black borders will appear on the TV)
But this are my wishes....
In reality, what are the problems caused by this 4:3/16:9 difference? (in videos or games or whatever...)
thanks

XBMC with MX player - CIFS and md4 drivers
Hi,
I managed to use XBMC with MX player through wifi, a HDD connected to my server. The tricky thing was to find drivers which work on 97s ; the ones for cube work.
I give hereunder the links where you can find the corresponding files :
cifs and md4
http://blog.lugru.co...cifs-ko-md4-ko/
You need cifsmanager to mount those drivers (explained in the link, but you can mount them manually with insmod) and mount the HDD.
After mounting the drivers, you can get folders from your HDD recognised as sdcard folders.
The second step is to get a compatible xbmc apk, you can find one here :
http://forum.xbmc.or...2372#pid1182372
Post: #54
after installing the apk, you have to create a playercorefactory.xlm file and insert it in sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata
this file contains the following text :
<playercorefactory>
<players>
<player name=”MPC-HC” type=”ExternalPlayer” audio=”false” video=”true”>
<filename>com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad</filename>
<hidexbmc>true</hidexbmc>
</player>
</players>
<rules action=”prepend”>
<rule video=”true” player=”MPC-HC”/>
</rules>
</playercorefactory>
com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad is for the free version of mx player.
You run xbmc, video, you choose Files, Add Video, Browse, Root filesystem, sdcard and then the name of your folder (which is the one you gave with cifsmanager), and save.
It is not as good as with es file manager coupled with mx player but it is much better than with the xbmc player since mkv files can be played with HW decoding.
May be the cifs driver need to be improved ... but it is far beyond my knowledge ...
Hope it helps
By the way, the guy who created the drivers tells that he has GPL kernel source code. Interesting for developpers ?

EDIT : links fixed
I think there is a September 26th xbmc apk compatible with mx player. After trying it, I will give the link
