Hi, having recieved my Elf II yesterday my wifi signal kept dropping so in my wisdom i flashed the tab with the simplified chinese version on this site using recovery mode (i dont like livesuite). In doing this i have now lost my android market and other google apps.

Am i being dumb in that the elf firmware can be flashed onto the Elf II and if so can somebody point me in the right direction of which firmware to flash

thanks

I don't have my elf 2 yet.

If they don't download it's because of google translate.

Visit the original thread.

I don't think I will be trying any firmwares until they are a bit more established, unlike the original Elf, which was pretty much useless to me without running google play scripts and applying the excellent Elvish 0.3, I am happy with this one out of the box.

All the google apps work, its the first time I have had google talk working with video (never got that working on original) and other than apps or games that I care little for at this point its a great and functional device. I have the original elf for messing with, keeping this one relatively standard, unless something comes up that I can't live without, which hasn't been the case. Would like to root it, but not if it involves reflashing, its too new to even risk breaking.

Only issue I have found to date is that Wifi doesn't always resume from sleep, but to fix this I just changed the setting so that wifi stays on during sleep, which is what I wanted it to do anyway.

Best of luck everyone, be interested to see how folk get on. :drinks:
