Hi All,

My tablet is rooted. This morning, it rebooted itself while I was updating some app from Google Play and since then, it has failed to startup. When I press the power on button, it just stuck at the gemei word screen. Didn't even reach the G9 logon screen. I tried the reset hold at the back of the table and also tried to bring up recovery using vol+return+power key to no avail. Please help.

I managed to get to the recovery menu and wipe the data to return the tablet to the as bought stage. However after re-flashing with firmware 4.15, again the tablet is unable to boot up. It hangs at the G9 logo. What is happening? Can someone help please

Managed to startup my G9 now. All it needs is to plug-in the power supply when starting up. It will have difficulty starting up running on battery. Also found out that when using Livesuite to install a firmware, the power supply must not be plug-in else Livesuite will not recognize the table when starting up.

I had almost a similar problem. I got it, downloaded launcher pro, and some apps. When, I pressed long press on the power button, it switched on but on the older launcher without any of the apps that I added in the launcher pro. Is there any idea how to get these linked back? Should I download the launcher pro again?

Thanks,

Hi, I received my Gemei G9 this morning. Fired it up, crashed on the camera app. Wouldn't restart - did the restore to factory option - still stuck at G9 logo.
Went onto Gemei website, downloaded the latest firmware *.18 - upgraded, changed language to english, running spot on now! very happy!

Im having the same issue... G9, black background and brown border...
My G9 shows the Gemai ikon - and the then nothing more happens. I can't shut it down or hard reset or anything.

I've tried to flash new firmware again - no lock

Urlier I'd flashed *.10 og *.15 - and the Eken A90 firmware as well as rooting (mr. Tasselhofs script). Now it dosn't boot when I flash a firmware?

I've had problems with booting from the start - the tablet crashed, I'ld reboot severel times before I got it running. But once it started it worked nicely.

But now all I get is "Gemei"
