In Opera, go to Settings>Advanced>User agent, and select Desktop.

To disable the stock Browser, go to System Settings>Apps, tap Browser, and then Disable. I've just done it so don't know yet if it does what is required, but I think it should.

Oh! thank you so much! I've sorted it out finally!

can anybody help me about how to prevent the default "browser app" to ever run (how to disable it totally?).

also... is there any application that works best on this ONDA as a application killer / application maganer... because i've downloaded one... but i'm not so happy about it.

hi. apparently the problem does not seem to happen anymore. Only some times.
I managed to stop the application from running.

I have another question for you. I realized that there are a few application that won't run on the onda, such as VIBER.
And also other application that probably need GPS as a feature.
Is there a trick to fool the sistem and load these apps?

OMG, this “This App is not responding” is driving me insane.
today i tried everything.
disabled the standard browser.
Installed an app killer in order to save ram and not leave other application in background... but i got this “This App is not responding” message again and again... and after i got it fro the 10th time in row i kinda wanted to throw this tablet against the wall!

am i the only one who still get this bloody issue!?!?!?

I tried to figure out the procedure by translating the chinese document but something must be wrong because it does not work.

I installed the live suite on pc.
and run it. select the img file
press the home button of the tablet connect the usb and then press 3 times the power button
select the correct usb driver
and then nothing happens
if i unpress the home button nothing.

no installation happens.

can you please help?
if i don't update i think i will take this tablet and throw it away!

I have received my Onda Vi30W Dual-Core today. Link I plugged it in. It does not start. A battery charging Icon shows on the screen, but nothing else. As the instruction are all in chinese, I have no idea what to do now....
OK: it booted, and it's nice....real nice.
Now what?

To update try:

1. Shutdown your tablet
2. while holding down the volume button attach usb cable to tablet.
3. volume - still pressed push power button quickly 5 - 6 times
4. Computer will dectect new hardware. install the USB driver provided with the firmware.
5. Open the live suit, select the Upgrade Rom file
6. update will start, dont remove any cable until upgrade is successfully completed.

after completion tablet will restart. The first boot is slow so wait for some time to for tablet to start.

If something went wrong try the steps again.

Hi,

A friend has the onda vi30 elite. Is there any way of getting cm10 or any other newer clean firmware for the tablet. It is running on 4.03 at the moment but gets lag and force closes while using the browser and is slightly laggy.
