As always the following comes with no warranty or implied warranty of any kind. Use this at your own discretion and only use it if you are able to face the consequences of something going wrong.

Here is Clockworkmod v5.5.0.4 Touch edition for the Prestigio PMP5080B. It is a modified version of the one created by jgelauff, which was based on the work of Christian Troy, simone201 & koush. It should at minimum work on the Prestigio 5080B, Next 8 Premium, Mediacom Smartpad 810c and the BQ Kepler. It may indeed work on other RK2918 tablets but that would need to be confirmed.

The initial version requires an ICS rom formatted in either EXT3 or EXT4. CWM launch key is from power off hold vol- then press power button.

Installation:

If CWM is already installed > copy desired zip to SD > install zip from sdcard > reboot recovery to take effect
If no CWM currently installed > unzip desired image > flash current rom parameter and recovery image with RKAndroidTool

If you flashed your rom with a single image file then it is strongly recommended that you do not flash CWM yet. It requires a certain level of knowledge to use CWM in such an environment. A guide will follow in due course.

Notes:

If CWM launch key is not working check that your parameter file contains the COMBINATION_KEY line (and if not simply insert it before flashing) e.g.

KERNEL_IMG: 0x60408000
COMBINATION_KEY: 0,6,A,7,0
CMDLINE: console=ttyS1,115200n8n androidboot.console=ttyS1 init=/init initrd=0x62000000,0x800000

Keys:

Use on screen controls and/or Power = Enter (select option), Vol+/- = Up/Down & Back = Back (previous menu)

damonfeuer, do you know if is it possible to compile a custom separated kernel with this?
I've a next8p and I really need to put USB ACM support inside the kernel. I've tried many many things, but I couldnt find any .config file to make my kernel work properbly in my tablet.

is it possible to do this using CWM and the way you specified above?

thanks in advance!

Can you, please, explain what every from five numbers in your combination key represents.
I tried this combination on my no name rk2918 tablet with similar specification like yours and only power button works as expected. My tablet has only 3 buttons: Power, Menu and Esc.
When i tested it with KeyTest.apk Menu keycode is 4, and Esc 82. What you sugest for combination key in my parameter file. Thanks in advance for advices.
