But if you want to try out the 20120604 version just flash it after cleaning the cache. Then flash the root_your_w17pro.zip from sd card. Turning the device on you have to put the following files into system/app folder on the internal memory
- GoogleLoginService.apk
- GoogleServicesFramework.apk
- Vending.apk
Run the vending.apk and it should work.

Check first page for the downloads of the files.

Hi my friend i now the procedure i have do it my question is if i make upgrade what about with the market ?
install again ? and what is the benefits with the new version ? i talk for 20120604 version.
because if the heat and the signal not working better there is no reason to make again all from beginning

I think it's best to install this because the heating problem seems fixed and wifi seems to be better.

Well the new rom works great. but after rooting using root your w17 wifi reception becam poor again and disconnect. i am running nowan unrooted device so a help here will be appreciated

my tablet freezing until now 5 times i think is unstable

with 514 it was very stable now i am trying 0604 if i see the same problems i am going back to 514

Using 0605, and my tablet could not identify my current location. The two location services are both checked.
Any idea?

Did you clean cache before flashing the ROM? I dont have any problems with them.

there's also a new root and market patch from the chinese forum
Just uploading it now.... I've installed it seems ok but is missing some apps in the market..still need to copy the permission files from the 2nd post to get full market..

Using 0605 here.

I haven't noticed any difference with the heat at the back of the device while using my tablet. The device is rooted, and Play Store installed.

Youtube videos are ok now. back in 0517, videos are not being showed well when youtube videos are not maximized.

Here are my concerns:

- My location cannot be identified even if "Google's location service" and "Location & Google search" are ON in Location and Services. Maps is giving me this error: Please enable a My Location source in system settings. Before and After rooting, my device is not able to identify its location.

- I cannot sync my contacts to my gmail. I have these in /system/app/ : Contacts.apk, ContactsProvider.apk. Anything else I'm missing?

- I cannot install google Talk from Play Store. I could not find it in Play Store.

no but i make the procedure twice and again the same symptoms
coreos procedure didn't say clear cash

i put two times the firmware two time freez up to 3-4 times

first firmware 425.

i flashed 0605 with original instruductions. no used before wipe.
used ac3 patch
used root patch from here
and used google play routine here...

no wifi issue
only one freeze after tryed incompatible game ( look like death race game... no sound or broken sound )

but im not doed etc permissions.
and now im cant change system/etc/permissions
( updated es file explorer )

change permission faile-no file delete-no owerwrite

fixed. i selected ( activated ) mount setting in es file explorer and fixed

how i can configure brand = samsung i9100 setting for this configiration. im used first xml files from first of this topic for app compatibility.

what is the best xmlfiles for app comp and fully hardware usage ?

btw can anybody having problem sdcard prepairing, checking for error? it keep show all the time till i re-flash again.
