I dunno, been a few years I suppose and I'm always holding my tablet(s) very close to them, could it be that wifi is affecting my widgets? - or could it be argued that wifi is always there and my widgets have been affected for years?

They still work fine, I just worry about the long term affects.

Notice how I did not mention my firmware...

The WiFi can make a internet speed which can be more or less. So to be away from a WiFi connection can affect the internet connection and simultaneously the internet connection which will affect the widget working. You can go through some best app Ideas to make full and quality use of widgets.
