regarding the video problem, run updateme app & download the stock allwinner gallery from the apps ,this will sort your video problem, the one included with cm9 does not have native mkv/AVI playback.
I would also recommend bsplayer & mx video free from the play store ;)

Thank you... I own the MX Video allready, just didn't install it yet. I wasn't aware of that it really brings codecs on the system. Did the trick, thanks!
Uhm... regarding the updateme-thingy: allwinner gallery couldn't be downloaded - just gave me a download-error... what a pitty. Anyways - my videos show up now, and the kids have fun with it in the car :)

Edit: 1006-release rocks... Thanks for the cool startupanimation and the whole rom - its smooth and cool - great work!!!

Weird, Eken A90 trouble.

Flashed cm9_nightly_20120610 this morning with the new v3_compatibility_1.1.0

Booted up, nice new boot screens.

Lock screen comes up, slide to unlock, hangs.

Have to reboot, and everytime it hangs after a few seconds on the lock screen.

Ended up having to LiveUpdate back to PWN3D image and have now gone to 20120607 ROM.

Weirdness indeed?

I will try flashing 20120610 again tonight.

Exactly dame behaviour on mine so I've dropped back to a backup for now. Think I'm on 26th May nightly. I did have a backup of 8th but was experiencing quick battery drain on that build also.

Did you try turning off the asset purging option in CM9's memory management? This seems to have stabilized things for me.

Hi Christian.

I've got an EKEN A90 and all was well yesterday with the 20120607 nightly rom with visture v3 1.0.5 compatibility.

Today with the 20120610 rom and visture v3 1.1.0 compatibility my gsensor is no longer working or seen under Elixir 2.

I think I have the MC622x sensor

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Ken

For those of you which have a Eken A90 (7660, 3 axis) and the Gsensor doesn't work, try this.

Works for me

Dear Christian,

Would it possible that you also support the MK802 - Android HDMI Stick (1GB Ram).
It would be really great to get this Stick working with CM9.
I also wrote a short review about it, but it is in German.

Anyway.. here is the Link to the Firmware (should be uploaded in about one hour):

Kind regards,
chris

is there a fix for the EKEN A90 Rev.2 (P90) or is this tablet out of scope?

no, it has too many different things: partition layout and wifi for example

Will this still work if i Install the overclock kernel ,before I installed the full rom above I installed just the overclock kernel + the g-sensor app from updateme but the sensor compatibility option was nowhere to be found on reboot
or is the g-sensor app only working from this rom not from the updateme download??

with that rom you dont have to flash mxc622 fix, it's already built in (it's in the boot.img ramdisk), you can flash any kernel but remember you dont have to flash that fix, it's a one-time-fix, just for 0610 build

Why not? Why is that?
Btw, im installed cm9_nightly_20120607.zip, a7hd_compatibility_1.0.1.zip and kernel_os.zip and it works. Overclock is working, the kernel was updated to version 3.0.31.
But is not working touch screen. (((

Install CM9 Sanei 20120610.zip in N90, but the touch does not work with a mouse if it works perfectly, but the Touch does not work

about n90... 16 downloads on googlecode and 21 on androidfilehost and that's the first report... great!
btw, now n90 has the "legacy" support:

Legacy support: tablets that won't fully work with new kernels and are stuck with allwinner's, you can't download 3.0.31 kernels and any kernel related feature will be added

download 1.0.1 compatibility and you should be fine but remember that you can't update kernel from update me

about a7hd... that's why it has legacy support, i didnt wanna support it since the beginning because I was forced to use a dedicated kernel (that required my custom modules building too) to support your gsensor but anything will change for you because you were already running your kernel, there are some modules added (gamepads, bluetooth, tun, and some other stuff) but you lack of smartassV2 and other things.

it's not my fault if your touchscreen doesnt work with the new kernel, i had to move to that mainly because:
- works much better
- it's actively developed mainly from amery that is a very good kernel developer
- i've moved boot image to an unified image that doesnt drive me crazy with custom boot images for every compatibility zip

If you appreciate my work and would like to support me with a donation you can follow this link. Thank you very much.

Tryed 2012-06-10 build on my Eken A90 (T05A) ( with v3_compatibility_1.1.0.zip , mxc622 fix ) -works great, thanks!

Then tryed it with another Eken A90 (T05A) with mma7660 g-sensor : everything works except g-sensor (with or without mxc622 fix).

Flashed ROM, opened Play and installed some stuff, left tablet overnight then came back and it said Google Play 'App not installed'. Rebooted and flash gapps again and it still gives that error, however Youtube, GTalk etc are there and work fine.

Any ideas?

Well, I downloaded the new ROM and V3 compatibility again using Update Me, applied last night and it worked this time.

It's odd, but sometimes this is just the way it seems to go.

When I first re-applied 20120607 the touchscreen was acting up, on-screen keyboard was unusable. But then reflashed again and it was fine.

It work with original Eken A90 firmware 3-axis G-sensor a90_3axis_7660.rar from http://www.eken.com/support/
