i have tried to install Ubuntu for Ainol Novo Elf created by Steev on my Gemei G9 and it works. i was surprised how fast it is and as you can see wifi works but the screen is all wrong
I get the impression Canonical want Ubuntu to become a tablet/touchscreen OS. If they can get the hardware recognition up scratch it could be great. (Not sure how long Ubuntu will remain a popular desktop distro though...)
This sounds extremly interesting and would be great, if it becomes a fully supported OS for our gemei G9! I will have a try on this, as soon as I have time for it!
Save this as default? (y/n) (to remove default delete the file /root/bootdefaults.txt)
