Thank you for your constant effort to improve your Custom Firmware.

I am about to flash it right now and after a day of testing, i will post my experiences with this Build right here.

Have you heard that the ICS SourceCode for Allwinner A10 Devices has been released over on XDA?

I thought this might be of interest to you.

Yes, sorry
Here's a good tutorial, but in Spanish ...

Basically:

  • Install drivers (connect tablet to pc with USB Debugging)
  • Unzip and install livesuite
  • Turn off the tablet.
  • Unzip rom, find file.img
  • Start LiveSuite
  • First dialogue "yest" then "format" then "next"
  • Select file.img
  • Ask if you want to format one more time --> yes then --> yes.

  • Press and hold the button "esc"
  • While holding the button "esc", connect the tablet to the PC
  • While holding the button "esc" press the button "Power" 10-15 times faster (or more)
  • Wait for the driver is detected and installed, especially if it is the first time

9. The process starts when you reach the 100% displayed a dialogue with a triangle.
10. All right, you are done.
11. Press the last LiveSuite button to exit.
12. Turn tablet

now i have my tablet and i flashed onix 0.3
this rom is really great, i love it !! :)

but how can i enable to show the app names on homescreen??
in the apex settings there is the option to hide the app names on the screen, but this option isn't enabled.
does someone know the solution?

but back to the rom :) it is very smooth, there is no bloodware..that's the way the rom should be :)
thanks R91 for that, i really appreciate your work !

Enable the option "Automatic grid size" in Apex Settings --> Homescreen setting --> Automatic grid size

Hi,

I have split the file into three parts because I can not upload a file to Mediafire so great

To unrar all three rar just unrar the first.
The md5 check:

cac610c7ae851ad2a992410c1daa6f98 *onixv0.3.img (file unrar)
42a4a4879d71a247bca6690b8a1c1500 *onixv0.3.part1.rar
9683cdb93d48563a3a636033592167d4 *onixv0.3.part2.rar

You can try it and if it fails you can install the official rom again.
Anyway I think that not work.

How can I extract your *.img file ? I need to check some files (especially build.prop) before I install this release ..thanks ;)

Edit: or maybe you could put here at least your latest build.prop ?

Edit2: How did you manage to fix google play to have more apps installed? Did you put some special xml files in /system/etc/permissions ? If yes, could you also provide them ?

Thank you !

Hi, thanks for your ROM, it works great, however I don't seems to be able to find the Gallery app, is there something I've overlooked?

You can download the build.prop from here.

To extract the *. Img you can use ImageSuite

Here I did a little tutorial but in Spanish.

There is a bug in the rom. The gallery does not appears. Please move / system/app/Gallery2.apk to /data/app

Yes, in addition to several libraries. This afternoon I'll upload.

While you can download [SCRIPTS] - Allwinner A10 Tablets Google Play Script and gapps from cyanogenmod CM9

Thank you R91.

Overall your rom is nice, but there are some things I dont like and thus I prefer stock rom for now:
- Apex launcher
- I prefer original stock gallery chinese app (the one with 2160p icon) as it works great, fast and has many options I like
- I dont like the rom out-of-the-box doesnt have icon names in main screen (I know you can change it and I know how, but really it`s hard to find option)
- The button mapping doesnt work for me - dont know why but I cant change button mapping
- I like to have "options" icon at the bottom central (right to the volume up icon) of main screen - this is possible to turn on / customize in APEX launcher ?

also tell me - when I install your rom, should I choose option to flash it standard way or with format ? Cause when I choose standard, my apps & settings which are left from previous rom probably influence the system as it seems to be slower than the previously used stock.

Hi.

I have installed the v0.3 ROM and until now all is ok.
The Play Store shows me everything now and the only isse I had is with the gallery. I will move the .apk as said.
One question, R91... have you tested the build.prop line addition suggested by the user bipbop?

net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=4096,87380,256960,4096,163 84,256960

Can I put this line in any place at build.prop ?
Thanks once again for your great work.
