Installation (Like Official Update)

Here's a good tutorial, but in Spanish ...
Another tutorial (Thx marck1991)

Basically:

• Install drivers (connect tablet to pc with USB Debugging)
• Unzip and install livesuite
• Turn off the tablet.
• Unzip rom, find file.img
• Start LiveSuite
• First dialogue "yest" then "format" then "next"
• Select file.img
• Ask if you want to format one more time --> yes then --> yes.

• Press and hold the button "esc"
• While holding the button "esc", connect the tablet to the PC
• While holding the button "esc" press the button "Power" 10-15 times faster (or more)
• Wait for the driver is detected and installed, especially if it is the first time

9. The process starts when you reach the 100% displayed a dialogue with a triangle.
10. All right, you are done.
11. Press the last LiveSuite button to exit.
12. Turn tablet

Updates:

Update from Onyx v0.4 to v0.4.01

Instructions:

• Copy "file.zip" to the tablet (sd or internal memory).
• Turn off the tablet.
• Turn the tablet with the power button and ESC button at same time.
• Choose with the home or menu button "Install zip from sdcard" and press power.
• In this menu "Choose zip from sdcard" or "choose zip from internal sdcard".
• Select "file.zip" and press yes.
• Reboot the tablet.

You also can make wipe dalvick cache and wipe cache, but this is opcional. (No erase user data)

I've flashed my Hyundai A7HD with your custom rom, but the camera has malfunction. When I initiate it by clicking the icon, the response is "force close". Although I flash it back to the original official rom (RKS7S01_A7HD_20120424), the camera is still unable to work anymore. Anyone can suggest solutions for this problem?

I would appreciate it if you find a bug or you have ideas for improving what ye should say, so between all do a great rom.

I am glad you ask for our Findings.

I have tested this Firmware for a while now and have found only a few bugs.

Flash Player doesn't work with any Browser i tried on my tablet.

Since it is included as a system-app it is hard to remove and re-install it.

You should take it out of your Firmware and let people install it manually.

I have encountered a few instances where the screen started to flicker at higher brightness settings, even in programs that never showed such behavior on the Original Firmware.

Today my tablet shut itself down on 20% remaining Battery, no idea why.

If at all possible it would be very nice if you found a way to hide the toolbar, when it is not needed.

And it would be nice if you could include a way to safely overclock the CPU.

EDIT: And perhaps a way to make the Battery last longer, if possible.

Flash player will be corrected in the next version.
The problem of brightness comes from the stock rom, with less than 79% of battery, check it.

Hide status bar, I'm working on it.

got the same problems about battery on stock rom (at about 20% power down, no pop-up before that that battery is weak, could be the problem of how you charge the tablet - through original AC or through USB - I was using USB charging lately). I`m waiting for next update of your rom Onix and then I`ll install it/give feedback.

screen issue is 99% software from my point of view. Why? Just check if there is a problem when the tablet is plugged in to charger - at this point the tablet has no problem / no flickering even at highest level of brightness.

One more thing - as I adopted build.prop from your current rom to my stock rom, I see you are using i9100 but i9100 has 800x480 resolution. Can you find anything else that is 1024x600 resolution? I bought some GAMELOFT games on my i9000 and now when I download them on my tablet with i9100 setting, they are not being scaled and I`m using only 800x480 of the screen while touch controls are scaled to the 1024x600 ... almost not possible to use. Also textures from SHADOWGUN are not working correctly (probably because of the 800x480 resolution also). Thx.

For overclock you can use SetCPU but is unstable over 1158mhz.

The new rom doesn´t need Autofix. Only if recommended update busybox binary from Busybox app. But you should install it on /system/bin not /sysmtem/xbin/ or crash.
The fisrt boot is slow and the initial setup wizard too. But from second boot, the rom now can fly.
