Hello everyone,

Can any one help me with the below scenario?

I have ZTE JoinAIr 3G USB Modem (dongle). It works fine on my Windows PC, but it does not install on my Gemei G9 ICS Android 4.0 tablet. Ofcourse, I know these are two different operating systems. But how can I install my modem on my tablet?

Request some smarties to help please.

Regards
Amaan

not all 3g dongles work on each tablet..
they dont need a driver, just plug in and works
look in system/settings/3g support
with my tablet it gives out a list of supported dongles.
but maybe you can see this on the manufact.website.
good luck

sometimes some dongles works even if they aren't in the supported list. |'ve put a 3g dongle which wasn't on the supported list on my ainol and it worked fine. anyway, you have to make some settings on APN setting, accordingly to your 3G operator.

not all 3g usb modems are supported, those supported should be recognized automatically by the system. I have an onda vi40 elite tablet, I tried a ZTE MF100 dongle but it doesn't work or recognized. However, I tried a HUAWEI E153 dongle and it works perfectly and recognized automatically.
